I'm surprised that the Rocky Mountain News didn't challenge the circumstances around the anti-Obama "swastika" sign at the recent downtown rally opposing the stimulus package ("Columnist isn't smiling over swastika in rally photo," Feb. 18).
Under later questioning, Kreck admitted that the sign was given to her by a staff member for ProgressNow.org, who also provided a photographer to capture the reaction.
Doesn't the event at the recent rally seem a little odd? Since ProgressNow.org seems to have the only photo evidence of the sign, doesn't it seem possible that the sign holder is a plant, or perhaps a rube who complied when asked to hold the sign and pose for a picture?
They have again displayed their extreme bias and willingness to "create" news events to support their agenda.

Come on, this is the state-run media we're talking about. Who else would really be surprised at the lack of coverage over someone carrying such a sign.

Apparently it is not the first time it has happened.
Swasticker, schwanzsticker, who gives a rats tukus. Its only a means of stressing an apposing point. If they were there in masses with black, white and red banners I’d be very concerned, but with a sign that is opposing socialism, I don’t see any reason to get work up over it. Besides, where are all the skin heads and the KKK, I guess they have no interest in the Obama medical Plan? Libots making much ado about nothing as usual.
I saw a couple yesterday but what they were was a swastika with a circle with a bar through it basically accusing the democrats of being nazis. In fact our county commisioner was carrying one and explained it to the local paper.
Personally I think its a bad idea.

Back before ‘that one’ got the nomination, somebody posted that they were rooting for him to win, to prove once and for all that a black guy couldn’t run the country.

There were a lot of paid protesters at our rally yesterday. Reform Now (ACORN) and Organizing for America were well represented but outnumbered.
I wasn’t carrying a sign so I was able to ask some questions. It turns out that they were bussed to Jackson from Muskegon and Detroit for $15 an hour.
Sheesh.

Exactly! The swastika has been around for decades, in fact if you draw it the other way you can claim it’s native American art.
Why do we always let ourselves get sucked into this nonsense?

BTW, the Rocky Mountain News is out of business. It seems not enough people subscribed/advertised to keep it in business. No surprise there, it was getting almost as liberal as the Denver Post.

Liberals are not beyond playing dirty -- remember that BO's staff said to hit back twice as hard.
I remember a punk lib female professor at a SoCal college nearby -- couldn't get any attention, probably a lousy teacher -- but she was Jewish. Some anti-Semitic threats appeared on her door, her car, and elsewhere. It got some press coverage and made her an "aggrieved victim."
Unfortunately for this lib, she lived and performed her fraud in Riverside County, California -- a conservative area. The cops looked into the "hate crime" and found out that she perpetrated the acts herself. She was arrested and is presumably doing some time.
