Heard this AM on the Michael Graham show, WTKK. Haven't seen posted elsewhere.
Obama and his lovely bride have created a Romulan Neutral Zone around themselves while on "Marxist Vineyard." Accordingly, as tourists tried to get within eyesight of the Obamas and their girls having hamburgers at a restaurant, the Secret Service confiscated all cell phones and cameras from everyone in and near the restaurant so that The Royal Couple was not disturbed by the riff raff on the Island. Further, the cook at the restaurant -- some sort of minor celebrity -- had to make the hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes while three Secret Service agents watched him to ensure no poisoning was attempted. Further, The Royal One ordered his hamburger medium-well, immediately infuriating the Hollywood elites there who insist that no burger be cooked more than medium-rare (legislation pending in Boston). If I hadn't heard it from Graham himself, I wouldn't have believed it.

So how close do you have to be to use them as remote detonators? I would think you could be in CA and still use it.
Did they do the same thing with Bush?
If they wanted to be left alone they could have stayed at Camp David.
My thought as well.Cameras,however,are a different matter.I'll wager that they were seized on the orders of His Imperial Majesty,Hussein I because he "was not amused".
You don't have a "right" to be on private property (restaurant). Get up, get a doggy bag, walk out.
Neither of us (you or me) know whether or not it was a safety measure. If the Secret Service says "yes", then it may be "yes".
Is it inconvenient if you are there having dinner? Yes, but guess what? Your plane will be delayed when Air Force One lands and takes off, and you'll sit in traffic if the President is in the area. Neither are "unconstitutional".
These people didn't lose their phones. They lost temporary access to them because the Secret Service thinks it's a good idea.
Kennedy, Reagan, McKinley, Lincoln and Garfield were shot. A man tried to kill Kennedy with a dynamite rigged car. Presidents Ford, Franklin Roosevelt and Truman were shot at. A man attempted to hijack a plane to assassinate Nixon. Someone tried to hit the White House with a plane to harm Clinton. Someone else fired at the White House to harm Clinton. President Bush has a grenade thrown at him. I'm sure that's not a complete list. It's just the ones I can recall off the top of my head.
All this leads me to think that if the Secret Service thinks cell phones are a problem on private property (which a restaurant is). I'm taking their word that they know what they're doing. Don't like it? Walk out.

Yul Brynner has nothing in common with Rahm ‘dead fish’ Emanuel. Brynner was an awesome actor with fantastic screen presence. Emanuel is nothing but a Chicago thug. Check out The Magnificent Seven and some of the cool B movies he did like Westworld and The Ultimate Warrior. There sure as heck isn’t anyone like him around today.
When the President goes abroad he brings his food and chef with him. At state dinners, the President’s meal is cooked by the WH chef or steward using the food brought with him.
Sorry dude. Not buying it. This was an ego trip for Obama. Nothing more.

Seriously though, this guy's ego knows no bounds. If ObamaCare fails along with Cap & Trade, I believe the Liberal Messiah will begin to show slight cracks in His sanity.
We have a much firmer basis for having exercisable rights in a truly public place (City Hall is a public place) than a private place (any restaurant). You have an option in the restaurant if the Secret Service shows up and wants your phone: get up, walk out, eat elsewhere. You have many fewer options at City Hall. If you have to pay your taxes or get a deed, you can't go to another City Hall.
I don't pretend to think that I have magical rights that trump the property owner's. If he wants the President there, and you don't like it, get up and leave.

To think that they'd expend a single moment fanning out to collect cell phones for no reason is silly.
