Q: What Would Mary Jo Kopechne Have Thought of Ted's Career? (revulsion alert)
National Review Online ^ | 08/27/09 | Mark Hemingway

Posted on 08/27/2009 7:50:10 PM PDT by Delacon

HuffPo answers:

We don't know how much Kennedy was affected by her death, or what she'd have thought about arguably being a catalyst for the most successful Senate career in history. What we don't know, as always, could fill a Metrodome.

Still, ignorance doesn't preclude a right to wonder. So it doesn't automatically make someone (aka, me) a Limbaugh-loving, aerial-wolf-hunting NRA troll for asking what Mary Jo Kopechne would have had to say about Ted's death, and what she'd have thought of the life and career that are being (rightfully) heralded.

Who knows — maybe she'd feel it was worth it.

I'm not inclined to piss on anyone's grave. But for the Hufffington Post to throwup this editorial, gotta say I am up for pissing on them. All of a sudden they want to conject for the dead and defenseless? I've always filed the Kopechne incident under the "The rich and powerful get away with more things than us less rich and powerful" in my cabinet. People risk their lives on the line for their beliefs every day. A few even voluntarily give their lives. Their cause is important to the consideration of their virtue. In dieing Miss Kopechne never had the anything to do with that kind of consideration. Miss Kopechne never had a choice. She never had any choice in the risk of or decision to end her life. To ponder that she would have thought her death was "worth while" makes me sick.

Her son would be 38 this year.

Pray for America

As I recall, didn’t the Kopechne parents speak up for and endorse EMK? Maybe there was liberal coercion to do so.

I’m pretty sure her last thought on Kennedy wasn’t very pleasant...

Well, knowing that Teddy walked past a house and a fire station on the way to his hotel after abandoning... and then turned in for the night... I'm guessing not much...

“Who knows — maybe she’d feel it was worth it.”

If there were any doubts that the left wing is insane, this should remove them.

Teddy went from being the cause of Mary Jo Kopechne’s death to decades in government. Her death didn't seem to bother him at all. I wonder where the soul of Ted Kennedy is?

I’ll piss on his grave. Ted Kennedy was a narcissistic, self centered, perverted, grade A, BASTARD. He thought nothing of sexually assaulting women any time he felt like it because he knew that he had enough money and power to financially, literally, and figuratively destroy anyone who spoke up. His whole career was made by using the power of government to steal from the working people and give the the lazy bastards.

May he rot in hell for the rest of eternity, that sorry excuse for an oxygen wasting human being.

MJ might be thinking, “How can someone guilty of negligent homicide stay in power for 47 years?”

This, in a nutshell, should scare any decent American. I’ve read alot of insane things these past several months, but this takes the cake.

“I thought we already had a Messiah.

Well they have already changed it from Obamacare(which don’t sell anymore) to Kennedycare. I’ll give the libs this. In the egregious use of speaking for the dead in order to shove universal healthcare down our throats, they have a right to intone Teddy K.

I wish I could respond with a nasty comment on Huff Po but I was banned for life after my first post over there. And I didn’t even swear.

Perhaps you're right, but I fear what God has planned for our country for re-electing someone like Teddy until he died. And he is just one example. We are more like Saddam and Gomorrah than that shinning city on the hill. When the time comes to walk away, no matter what happens, don't look back over your shoulder.
