Communist Party U.S.A. Newspaper (People's Weekly World) & Chairman Hail Obama Speech

COMMENTARY, by Sam Webb, Chair, Communist Party U.S.A. (10 September 2009)

President Obama’s speech to Congress last night reset the debate and struggle for real health care reform. No one thought that the reform of our nation’s health care system would be easy to begin with, but what transpired recently – the fierce counter attack by the right-wing extremists, the letting loose of the demagogues of hatred, fear, racism, and division, and the digging in of private insurance companies and other sections of corporate America – proved to be a sobering reminder that the political terrain and initiative can shift in the direction of one’s foes, as it did this summer....

But it also can shift back as happened last night, thanks to the president’s intervention in this bitter and bruising struggle....

You can't make this stuff up.

CBS? NBC? ABC? MSNBC? CNN? CNBC? NPR? NYT? LAT? WAPO?

Imagine if a major, turning point national speech by Presidents Reagan or Bush I, II, were endorsed the following day by the National Socialist Party or the Ku Klux Klan? (Why of course we would not hear a peep out of the alphabet soup named above.)

Food for thought, talk show hosts (shout out for researchers on Hannity or Levin shows...let's give Glenn a break).

Weird how the communists and Marxist dictators really have a thing for BO. “Man Crushes” I guess.

Problem is, 30% of the country has no problem with this. They know nothing of communism or it’s history.

The offenses to Frank Little must also be corrected.

It will take having part of their family beeing hauled off to a labor camp before it sinks in.

Raised by a Commie, mentored by a Commie, sought out Marxists in college, surrounded himself with Commie advisers by choice, and praised by Commies around the world. Nope, nothing to be concerned with here.

(Unless somebody can find it and clarify) THE COMMUNIST PARTY U.S.A. "PURGED" SAID COMMENTARY BY CPUSA LEADER SAM WEBB praising Obama for his Health Speech the other night, within just approximately 2 hours of this FREE REPUBLIC article going up (3:00 a.m. Eastern 11 Sept 2009).

The URL link now goes to a different article and took the Communist Party's "Commentary" down on Obama.

The "Commentary" written by Chairman Sam Webb, (with the embarrassing quotes and which I exerpted, above), is nowhere to be found--unless someone else can search the CPUSA site and find it.

I suspect a sanitization effort.

too late.

if I am not mistaken, the Commies seem to have pulled it from their website, pretty shortly after I put this thread up.

BUT, we have the most juicy quote from the commentary, above, just as I had cut and pasted. there also seems to be a way to recover the full commentary. they dont realize that once something is on the internet, it is there for good ;-)

Found it again, elsewhere. OK here it is in most of it's entirety:

"COMMENTARY (Sam Hill, Chair, Communist Party USA)... President Obama’s speech to Congress last night reset the debate and struggle for real health care reform. No one thought that the reform of our nation’s health care system would be easy to begin with, but what transpired recently – the fierce counter attack by the right-wing extremists, the letting loose of the demagogues of hatred, fear, racism, and division, and the digging in of private insurance companies and other sections of corporate America – proved to be a sobering reminder that the political terrain and initiative can shift in the direction of one’s foes, as it did this summer. But it also can shift back as happened last night, thanks to the president’s intervention in this bitter and bruising struggle. By the speech’s end, supporters of health care reform were re-energized, its opponent dispirited, the public much better informed, the case for a governmental role well articulated, and the moral high ground regained by the president and the coalition that elected him. What the president’s speech didn’t and couldn’t do was seal the deal on the language and details of that bill. In other words, there will be a health care bill on the president’s desk later this fall, but what is still to be decided is its precise content and scope. So the struggle goes on. The opponents of health care reform may have lost ground last night, but don’t expect either them or the advocates in both parties of “health care lite” to fold up their tent. In its editorial today, the Wall Street Journal appealed for “popular mobilization” to oppose the bill and John McCain showed little interest in giving ground on the Today show this morning. As for the supporters of health care reform, we have to be every bit as tenacious as right-wing reaction. Justice, morality, and truth are on our side, but they are not enough. Only when combined with persistence, united action, and struggle over the bill’s content, including a public option, will real health care reform see the light of day.

It’s a real shame that we can’t suspend the 1st Amendment, throw a pot full of traitors out, and reinstate it. Our present government is trampling the entire Constitution with no thought of ever rehabilitating it, but Americans know that we can’t stop and start inalienable rights, an that to try would be to destroy the greatest nation that ever was. I hope and pray that I don’t really mean “was”.
