It’s been pretty obvious that this is his wet dream since early in his campaign at the latest.

I think that he turned drafting of the Stimulus Bill over to the Democrats in Congress because he didn’t care what was in it, he just wanted a bill that would dramatically increase the government’s spending of money that it doesn’t have in order to exacerbate this process, the way that a martial artist will use his opponent’s energy and velocity against him.

However, I think that the Stimulus Bill and Obama’s other excesses, like nationalization of the banks and the auto industry, have awakened many Americans and his opportunity to do this is fading fast.

If the health care bill is defeated, then Obama will have to serve his time as President in 4-year chunks like he is supposed to.

Martial law? I don’t think so. That would require the military and I doubt that our own sons and daughters would hold us at gunpoint, orders or no orders.

We are nearly living in a police state now. So many things are illegal under federal law (Constitution? What Constitution?) that you are already a criminal many times over. I particularly despise how the “local cop” has become a paramilitary “storm trooper” even though there are damn few full-scale shootouts in my neck of the woods.

Obama will not declare martial or completely break the United States economy. He is just another bit player in an act that started in the 1930’s. He has pushed at a faster rate than some, and has been more bold about seizing private property and power, but he is not the end game. That will be in 20 or 30 or 50 years when Americans have been divided and humbled and enslaved for another generation on government handouts and indoctrination. Then the tanks can roll through the streets and no one will raise their head.
