The liberal media's ACORN blackout
NY Post ^ | September 17, 2009 | Michelle Malkin

UNDERCOVER journal ism is only acceptable when it fits a liberal agenda. That's the message from professional reporters and left-wing activists outraged by the successful video stings targeting President Obama's old friends at the left-wing, tax-subsidized outfit ACORN.

Summing up the ACORN Housing Corp. philosophy, a Brooklyn ACORN official told BigGovernment.com's James O'Keefe (playing a pimp) and Hannah Giles (posing as a prostitute) bluntly: "Honesty is not going to get you the house." ACORN spokesman Scott Levenson blasted the investigation as gotcha journalism. That would be gotcha multiplied by at least five: The pair has so far caught ACORN operatives dispensing illicit advice in Washington, DC, Baltimore, San Bernardino and San Diego, as well as in the Brooklyn office.

Well, the St. Pete Pravda finally put the story on it’s online site this morning. Many comments say, “about time”...the stories only 5 days old. I don’t have a subscription, so I have no idea if it’s on the front page of the print edition.

I thought Jon Stewart’s rant was so spot on and pointed toward the MSM’s lack of jouranlistic skills.

Jim Lehrer (PBS, D): "Report on them? They crack heads for me. They provide voter fraud, for our PBS book sales.
They provide 11 year olds as sex slaves. They even eat people. But they support PBS."

Tell them that one of the ACORN staff MAY have once given money to a Republican candidate (like Ron Paul) once and they will be all over this story.

If we show up 20 million strong the media will say “20 thousand” and dismiss us as pawns of the insurance companies. And then, Obama will shut down the internet (except for government and ACORN sites) and what are you going to do about it?

I guess your right, I guess we all should just give up and let them take this country and shread the US Constitution and let them make it in their own image and we should all just stay home and huddle in our little corners in our homes and be just afraid and let them take all our possessions and homes, jobs, money and let them rule over our lives. The media ignored the controversy over the forged national guard memos for several days during the attempt to steal the 2004 campaign.

Remember Gore’s claim of “popular vote”? He got 0.52% majority. Half a percent. Bush took a dip in the polls on the eve of the election bcause of a report on his DWI charge decades prior.

If Dan Ratherbiased had held the story a few more weeks it could’ve thrown the election to the Rats in 2004.

A story doesn’t have to be right to sway opinion and a true story can be ignored for weeks.

The media lied BOTH times (including LYING by not reporitng on the controversy over the forged memos). AP and Rather both kept them as “true” news for several days.

In June John Conyers Said he was dropping any idea of investigating ACORN because “The Powers that Be put the Kibosh On the Idea”,Gee If I were a journalist I think maybe 5 Days ago I would Be on Mr Conyers Doorstep asking ,Mr Conyers Who Are the Powers that Be that put the Kibosh on Any Investigation Of ACORN ?
I would also be Yelling out the Question ALA Sam Donaldson every time Obama showed his face , Mr President is ACORN still helping set the Agenda for the Country as YOU said they would even before you were Inaugurated ?

The only ways available to make our influence known is primarily at the ballot box, then the continued use of the internet and am radio (unless they’re shut down) and our pocketbook (economic boycotts, etc.) Short of a revolution, that is?

Something tells me that Ron Paul wouldn’t be one of their favorites. McCain, on the other hand, might have drawn some support especially in border state offices.

I gotta share this awesome tweet from twitter:

@PeerReset: Democrat math: number of #912DC protesters = thousands, number of #912DC racists = millions.

In June the issue was the Acorn 8. Very serious allegations of fraud coming from former Acorn board members. One of the founders had embezzled around a million dollars. The organization hid it for eight years then “resolved” it with an internal investigation without calling in the police even though public monies were involved. Several current employees admitted in participating in the cover up. The “Acorn 8” were employees, including board member who attempted to sue in order to see the books. That didn’t get any coverage outside of Fox either.
