Orley . . . may be a lot of things . . . however, I still read her as a courageous patriot.

Who has made a lot of herself from challenging things to overcome aplenty.

And she’s taken on the powers that be in a too thankless mission impossible that few rise to help her on.

The other side has been TONS AND TONS AND TONS FAR MORE SCREWY.

Why is it that “FREEPERS” decline to castigate the OThuga cohorts and fellow travelers as much as they do patriotic Orly???

. . . unless most are trolls.

Land was appointed by George W. Bush in 2001.

Have you ever heard of the phrase, "No true Scotsman?" You should familiarize yourself with it.

If David Axelrod and Rahm Emmanuel could conjure up a foil for Barack Obama, it would look, sound and act EXACTLY like Orly Taitz. While Taitz, and her band are Merry Men, are busy tilting at windmills, other serious and earnest conservatives are fighting a war against oppressive government, confiscatory taxes and the erosion of civil liberties.

I personally find Taitz to be an idiot, an embarrassment to my profession and a clownish figure - in the extreme - that does nothing but empower and embolden liberal progressives to paint all conservative-minded people as ones that are out of touch with reality to the point of possible paranoid delusion and schizophrenia. No thanks! I'll look for my conservative heroes someplace else, cut from a much more rational and effective cloth.

His donors had to be indentified? What are you smoking??

His website had the thingie identifying credit card donors turned off. It was also laundered through some outfit (run by someone who may have been his ex-girlfriend) in the Caribbean.

You must be an 0 supporter.

Money quote:

“Orly Taitz embarasses all of us with her silly ranting...”

“Silly” is one of the recent “talking point” words to belittle the opposition. Gibbs and others starting flinging it a lot recently.

Indeed.

A couple of days ago I asked a freeper why he continues denigrating Orly, and why it appears he doesn't want her to succeed. He said his *feeling* were hurt, *changed* the subject, then began an ugly, abusive rant, in FRmail and on the board.

Obviously, he wanted me on the defensive. He never did answer the question, though.

Exactly. If they think Orly is not a good lawyer, acting strange, using the wrong arguments, etc - then they shoudl either offer to help her do it better, since they are very smart and can see the faults, or start their own lawsuits against 0bama.

Nope, they prefer to criticize and undermine all efforts to drag the scum into court.

For someone who is looking for heroes, you certainly spend hours and hours a day on FR doing nothing but sneering at Orly.

You’re a smart lawyer as you have proclaimed, why don’t you start a suit? Or help one of the other lawyers fighting this issue? Where are these other heroes you’re looking for, btw? Find any?

I think I know the reason.

I’ve read at least three instances in the last week or so of Gibbs and other 0bama sycophant bootlickers using the word “silly”. ANd I haven’t even been reading much.

They write up little phrases and words to fling at the opposition using Alinsky principles.

The poster who used it has gotta be either a hire or maybe just volunteer. If I had the time I’d check his posting history but other stuff is demanding my attention . I.e I’m going to get in trouble when someone comes home if I don’t get my act in gear...

"You’re a smart lawyer as you have proclaimed, why don’t you start a suit? "

Find the post where I have proclaimed myself a "smart laywer", as you allege. Of course, per usual, you lob accusations based NO WHERE in fact.

But, I certainly am a competent attorney and like thousands of other competent and conservative attorneys, I haven't engaged in Orley's crusade because it has NO BASIS IN LAW.

And who agrees with me? John Roberts, Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, The Thomas More Law Center, The Federalist Society, Ann Coulter, Mark Levin, Laura Ingram and a host of others.

Let me guess, they're all trolls too?

Who agrees with you? Orly Taitz, a California dentist who obtained her law degree on-line and prior to this latest fiasco hadn't practiced law with the exception of providing counsel to her husband and defending her self in malpractice claims. To date, Taitz has not only won a single case in this matter, she hasn't prevailed in a single motion

I like my side just a little better.

Also, his donors all had to be identified to the FEC and I know that Fox News has gone over the FEC reports and not had a single complaint about campaign donations.

Obama drove a Mack truck through that loophole in campaign finance law. Did you get that sorry talking point from DU? Here's the real deal below:

"BARACK OBAMA

91 Percent of Obama Donors Not Required to Be Reported to FEC

A fairly glaring whopper from Obama, mentioned in this op-ed by economics professor Jay Mandle in the Washington Post:

During a Feb. 26 debate in Cleveland, for example, Obama said that "we have now raised 90 percent of our donations from small donors, $25, $50." His campaign's own data from January 2007 through January 2008 show that 36 percent of donated funds were from small donors. Obama probably meant that 90 percent of the individuals who contributed were small donors, but the number of donors has not been verified. ..."

Show me the legal definition of NBC that says that.

Show me the legal definition of natural-born citizen that says otherwise.

The Constitution specifies two distinct ways of acquiring citizenship - natural born or naturalized. If you are not one then you are the other. If Obama was born in Hawaii then he's a natural born citizen regardless of his father's nationality.

The one the Founding Fathers used was from Blackstone and Vattel.

The two contradict, or weren't you aware of that? However, being Englishmen, I'd agree that the Founders would be more likely to adhere to Blackstone than Vattel. And according to Blackstone's "Commentaries on the Laws of England", Book One, Chapter Ten: "The children of aliens, born here in England, are, generally speaking, natural-born subjects, and entitled to all the privileges of such."

That would include Obama, wouldn't it?

Okay, not “smart lawyer” - competent attorney.

You didn’t answer my questions or address the issues at all. Not even slightly.

You are skirting the issue quite well. Just because the list of people you named have not publicly said anything at this point, you are assuming they think 0bama is perfectly qualified and there is no redress.

As do you. Thank you for making your position crystal clear.

Your problem is not with Orly, although you claim it is, to jump on the Orly-bashing bandwagon. Your real gripe is this:

That anyone, anywhere, is fighting this in court. You want 0bama to stay in office, the question of his Constitutional eligibility be damned. You hate the issue itself, not Orly. Orly is merely a convenient and easy target.

Folks, Old Deck has made it clear that he wants 0bama to stay in office. Thank you, Old Deck. You done outed yourself but good.

Have a wonderful day!

Old Deck just wants to keep his boy in office, that’s all. He hates the issue, not Orly. It’s not as though if a more “competent attorney” showed up to fight the issue he’d be supportive.

Nope, he wants his boy to stay in office. That’s all.

http://investigatingobama.blogspot.com/2009/09/cpt-connie-rhodes-to-file-complaint.html

Update 9/19/2009 ~ This in now, from net-radio host, MommaE:

I just want everyone to know that the letter that was supposedly written and faxed by Capt. Connie Rhodes, MD to Judge Clay Land is a FORGERY AND A FRAUD!!!
There was another person besides me that was investigating this and we exchanged information this morning. That person was the one that knew how to get what was needed as undisputable truth. The proof is posted on this web site http://larrysinclair-0926.blogspot.com/, along with a recording of a conservation with the Office Max Manager in Columbus, GA. The Manager, Andrea agreed to let the conservation be taped.
I hate it when some one commits this kind of act and gets everybody that is working hard for the cause in this kind of an uproar. I had told you all that when I had proven it one way or the other I would let you know and I am now letting you know. Please go to the above web site and read and listen to the Audio of the conservation. Both the notarized letter with Rhodes signature and the “LETTER WITH THE FRAUDULENT SIGNATURE IS POSTED THERE ALSO”.
I want to thank all of you for being diligent enough to want to post nothing but the absolute TRUTH, while others don’t care what they post or report as long as it keeps up dissension between everyone that is fighting for the Cause!
Respectfully,
Evelyn Adams

As I see it, there are four basic categories of “birthers”:
1) Orly defense birthers
2) Donofrio defense birthers
3) hybrid of 1 and 2
4) opportunists

I fall into group 3 too I guess.

obtained her law degree on-line

So what?

She passed the bar exam and has a license to practice law in California.
