President Obama will appear on a record five TV networks on Sunday -- the morning talk shows of ABC, NBC, CBS and sit for interviews with CNN and Spanish-language network Univision.
Since becoming president, Obama will have done 124 print, broadcast and radio interviews, according to a tally by Maryland's Towson University -- three times more than George W. Bush did by the same point in his presidency.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs says the interviews are "an attempt by the president to speak to as many different people as he can on an issue that's as important as something like health care reform or on Afghanistan."

You aren't kidding. I worked day shift last week - we have Fox news on the TV up in the corner of the room with the sound turned down (thankfully). It seems like every day, the pinko was on TV trying to sell healthcare. He gets more air time than Billy Mills did when he was around. Too bad that the bill of goods that Obambi is selling isn't only $19.95.
The Movie channel will get top ratings.
But in the distance, I noticed some passers-by stop and gaze at one photo -- gaze in astonishment. For a good 30 seconds or more. I saw one woman with a huge smile put her hand near her throat and take a step back -- she was mesmerized. I saw another woman snap a cell phone image of the photo. I saw one guy who looked the aging hippie type. I walked past to see the photo. None other than the clown himself with that foolish smile.
Yes, there's a shrillness that belies an underlying anger. He's going to lose it one of these days when some big issue goes against him and he can't handle what he'll see as personal rejection. Just a matter of time.
Obama has a Stalin or Hitler type of cult following. Scary, isnt it????
I think a more appropriate person to compare the Kenyan Clown's propensity to publicly rant at the proletariat is Fidel Castro.
From the Independent's Weird and wonderful: the facts about Fidel Castro:
LONGEST SPEECH: Castro's holds the Guinness Book of Records title for the longest speech ever delivered at the United Nations: 4 hours and 29 minutes, on Sept. 29, 1960. His longest speech on record in Cuba was 7 hours and 10 minutes in 1986 at the III Communist Party Congress in Havana.
I suspect that in terms of aggregate hours, Obama is well ahead of even Castro over any similar span of time in his career. With the Kenyan Clown's opportunity coming up at the U.N., he should even have a chance at smashing Castro's record in that forum.
Agreed. I can't wait for not one but multiple "I am sick of tired...!" ear-splitting Hillary-screeches from _resident jOker.
argh. “or” -> “and”
There’s TV where I work also and unfortunately its usually on CNN which is either showing a story on him, carrying him live, talking about him, or having an Obama topic in the runner. Its virtually continuous coverage.
People really are ignorant and impressionable. It's a sad day when America cannot take care of herself.
Did you ever see the movie “The Caine Mutiny”? Captain Queeg (Bogart) loses it in the end. Good chance we’ll eventually see a political version of that famous scene starring Obama.
I initially thought the image would be something of a captivating nature. A newborn baby for instance. I was unprepared to see that kind of fawning over a photo. Cripes, he is on so many magazine covers.
These shows are dry as dust, and watching the Paint Drying Channel is more exciting. Actually, now that I think of it, it’s the perfect venue for Obozo.
Which raises the age old question, “If a President gave a news conference and no one was around to hear it, does he make a sound?”
You know what I find ironic is that the MSNBC yokels were likening Glenn Beck to Lonesome Rhodes in “Man without a face” and I have always, from back last summer, considered Obama to be Lonesome Rhodes. One day he will go over the top and someone he has screwed over for the last time will expose him and how he truly feels about the American people.
All of the shows have the same format. A token republican from the Beltway or NYC surrounded by screaming liberals, who shriek and scream throughout the so called show. I gave up on them when they refused to discuss the Clintoon/Monica mess.

Does he have his teleprompter on?

That’s pretty good! But you forgot the 800 number to call.
You think? He won’t be talking to me.
Seriously though, if this guy was selling cars, he would be on the street.
