These are students who were in their dorm acting peacefully, bothering no one, and the police used tear gas on them.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM ANARCHIST COMMUNIST PROTESTS.
What do you mean by saying that the students should "stay away"? The students were in their dorms - the students were there first.
The anarchists need to be roughed up.
Those aren't anarchists - they are students in their dorm.
Where were the University Residence Hall Proctors? Where is the concept to “in loco parentis”. It is the duty of the school to look out for the interests of the students that are there. It was reasonable to assume that the conditions in the city in that very area placed their charges in danger. Any responsible adult in charge should have stationed extra mature adults on guard in all dorms.
It does not matter who they were in favor of. But alas they have to understand that if you observe civil disorder, you might just get tear gas floating your way.
If the police actually fired it at Pitt studens on Pitt property, then they were out of line. If it was just as I suspect tear gas fired at the mob out on the street that is the risk you take. I suspect some of the civil war battlefield observers got hurt too.
At the hands of heavily armored American storm troopers?
Don’t be surprised if BO claims in a press conference the Pittsburgh police acted stupidly then have the anarchists and police over to the White House for a beer to make it appear he’s bringing the nation together.
I wonder what happens to these punks days or weeks after the riots when they go through the court systems. Just recently, one of the anti-Tom Tancredo demonstrators who interuppted his speech at a southern university was let go by the judge. She is the daughter of some Hollywood guy - helps to be well connected. Look at what happened with William Ayres a genuine terrorist - he got off scott-free.
I suspect that the anarchists have everything set up with the local leftist leadership. I don’t think any of these young punks spend any time in jail. It appears that they have this routine all planned out beforehand. They know which leftist judges to pick. The anarchist punks know that nothing will happen to them.
Was this the violence that that hypocrite Pelosi was speaking of?
Anyone notice how the video cuts from the Anarchists street level view to the supposed innocent bystander college student view at about 48 seconds?
Don’t be too sure. See my last post.
The comments of some on this thread frighten me as much as what the police did to the students inside the university dorm.
Pitt is a city school in the heart of Pittsburgh.
The anarchists were down below on the streets and there was no indication that those students were throwing things down into the crowds or the onto the riot police.
There is nothing to see here. Government’s armed enforcers would never harm innocent bystanders. Nobody who works for the government must ever be doubted. Troublemakers got what they deserved.
Don’t be so sure.

What frightens me is that no one is bothering to ask why this sort of thing only happens at liberal protests.
with as many people were at the tea parties, if the police attacked it would look too much like Tiananmen Square.
Give me a brake. These are adults who if not having the luxury of attending these institutions, would be out working holding real jobs. Other adults their age do not require mature supervision. I mean really, these are supposed to be the smart ones, not the one working while going to a community college or just working.
Cry me a river! I lived in DC through the 60s and all the ‘peace’ demonstrations, not to mention the post-King assassination riots. The air was FULL of pepper spray, mace, whatever, on a regular basis. Didn’t matter if we were protestors or not. We felt it. Those of us who weren’t protesters had to suffer it. These students will survive.
