Please forgive me if i infered this was your report. That was not my intention. It is just that in all of this, there has NEVER been a published picture showing a blast crater. As a matter of fact, the only picture i have ever seen clearly showed no blast crater, with rescue crews standing where it should have been. That picture has since disappeared.....
I was indoors in bed after a surgery, about 8 miles away (in Moore) It rattled my windows.
That’s interesting, I was in the hospital recovering from surgery when 9/11 happened. It is hard for me to imagine a time that I felt more helpless.
My wife’s cousin was on the 104th floor of the north tower. She was coming to visit me when the tower fell. Under medication, hurting from the surgery, and overwhelmed by the events, I was not much comfort to her.
Were you stationed at Tinker AFB in ‘95? I was on the base on 9/11 and felt very vulnerable, as I feared we might also be a target. Is your wife okay? I imagine you both experienced PTSD from that day, God bless y’all, stay safe.
Yes, moved from OK shortly after the May 3 ‘99 Tornado. Sheesh - I'm a catastrophe magnet. ;)

This is uncanny. My husband and I, with God and our pets, were hiding in a closet during May 3, 99 tornado. (Kids were out of town at the time) Our house was demolished, he got a 1/2 inch scrape on his leg, I got a dime-sized bruise on my arm...the other good news is that we had full-replacement insurance, moved out of Moore and now live on beautiful 5 acres in the country. My 14 year old cat still has trauma during storms, though. The love shown by others at the time was the best thing to come from it.
And the pre-blast Fed flurry and the guilty pre-knowledge of some who awaited a different outcome.
The FBI and ATF may not always be right, but they are never wrong.

I wish, REALLY wish, the “Oklahoma Standard” was the way our Nation responded to disasters. After OKC bombing and the tornados, Okies just picked themselves up, dusted themselves off and then looked for someone to help. I don’t remember anyone whining for government help. Churches set up shelters and served food. People used pick-up trucks as ambulances and offered their homes to those who lost theirs. I don’t remember ANY looting.
Compare that to Katrina.

UriÂ’el-2012 said “your report”. Anyway I just looked at two pictures of the crater again, it is pretty full of debris from the building collapse and covered with a tarp. The FBI didn’t excavate the crater until day 11 or so, it was filled right back up within a day so other work could continue. Here’s a document that has the entire timeline;

The hand wringers were the East coast and West coast papers wondering how those red neck hicks in “flyover country” could cope with something like this!
The handwringers didn’t realize that Oklahoma has had years of tornado disasters and were well prepared even for this!
