In 2007, Judge Laurence Silberman, senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, wrote a decision overturning the District of Columbia’s ban on handguns. The following year, the Supreme Court agreed with him.

As with any predator, you watch, listen, prepare.

The antis aren't going to go away because of a few rulings.

The next major incident involving "assault weapons", hi capacity handguns, or even an attempt on the POTUS, will bring a dirge of legislation aimed at law-abiding gun-owners.

Nothing has changed in DC. You still cannot register a handgun there without official hassle and BS.

Just the first inning. Do you really think the left will stop now? They will stop when they win and we are all disarmed.

How do you think the rats took back the Congress? They moved to the right. When the White House and Holder started talking about renewing the so called "assault weapons" ban, Pelosi and Reid told them to can it.

The first ten amendments are collectively called the "Bill of Rights," and were intended by Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, etc. as an enumeration of INDIVIDUAL rights.

Any feigned confusion about the 2nd Amendment being a "collective" right is just that - feigned.

"They will stop when they win and we are all disarmed."

There is another possible outcome. It directly has to do with the reason why we have the 2nd Amendment and all these firearms in the first place. Rhetorically speaking, of course, what's the point in having all the above if we then just sit like buckets of congealing pus and let the Commie scum take over?

Im not sayin, I'm just sayin...

How true. What is being done in the way of challenging this? Did any local entities or individuals file a lawsuit against the city?

Well it is said that you can register a revolver after giving fingerprints and two passport photos, and undergoing background checks, but you must take it home unloaded and with a trigger lock on it.

Semi Automatic pistols are classed as machine guns in DC ,so no Glocks

Is anyone doing anything about that?? Wel its like trying to bail out the ocean with a teaspoon, the city council will pass new laws as fast as the Supreme Court rules them illegal. Ya cant beat city hall when it’s as crooked as the one in DC.
