To think I used to like the Mamas and Pappas music. I knew drugs and sex was a big part of them and the times. But this is so far over the line now every time I hear it I’ll think of this perversion

Trouble is, the guy she’s accusing also had a syringe hanging out of his arm for well over 30 years, including the years when he was living with his minor daughters. The sister seems to believe it. Perhaps step-mom is in denial, or perhaps she knew about it all along and just doesn’t want to be brought up on charges of aiding and abetting incest with a minor. Why would I trust a woman who married a man who was already well-known to be a big-time drug addict? Mackenzie got born into that mess, but Michelle freely chose to intimately associate herself with it. If I have to choose which one to believe, I’ll pick Mackenzie.

My question refers to WHY did she then not say, "NO", and continue to have incest consensually?

When she bragged about ‘doing’ Mick Jagger, one could argue she was lying or exaggerating. But, who would lie about doing their own Dad? Seriously, if you’re gonna spread rumors about yourself, you want them to make you look good, right? She didn’t say she ‘did’ Brad Pitt afteralll.
Worse than doing her own Dad, is the fact that she is making it public. Jeeze, this is the stuff for the councelors office, not the Oprah show.
On the other hand, anything she does from here on out can be worse. Let’s say one day she does her ‘friends husband’ and confesses to that on Oprah. If that happened, I’d think to myself, “Well, that’s not as bad as the time she ‘did’ her father.

some people long for attention... they will do many things to shock people... i'm not saying this is what she is doing, but it's possible... i agree that this is not something to air out on television...

So she wasn’t around during the period in question, yet claims to know that drug-addict Mackenzie is lying, and that drug-addict John wouldn’t have been doing what Mackenzie said he did? She’s obviously a keen judge of men, seeing as how she had an 8 day long marriage, and it wasn’t even her first one! Yep, I’m still buying Mackenzie’s story.

Assuming it's true, learn to deal with it and put it behind you. Go on with your life. I suspect that's what most people would do with a similar history.
But with the acting career dried up, why not drag the whole family through the mud to make a few bucks. Nice.
