ACORN Housing Board Member Steps Down
Wall Street Journal ^ | September 28, 2009 | By JAMES R. HAGERTY

Guillermo Loaiza, a loan officer for a unit of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in Phoenix, has resigned from the board of Acorn Housing, a spokesman for J.P. Morgan said.

Acorn Housing is an affiliate of the community-organizing group Acorn, the full name of which is the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. Both Acorn and Acorn Housing have been under fire since the recent release of secretly recorded videos that depicted Acorn employees offering advice on evading taxes, setting up brothels and smuggling illegal immigrants.

J.P. Morgan has said it doesn't have a regular working relationship with Acorn or Acorn Housing. Bank of America Corp. said late last week that it suspended its work with Acorn Housing pending reviews of that organization's operations.

Acorn Housing has long worked with Bank of America and other big banking companies in counseling potential home buyers and distressed mortgage borrowers. Bank of America has said it made a $2 million grant to Acorn Housing last year for "homebuyer education and counseling to homeowners who are in financial difficulty."

I don’t why anyone is shocked at the business that Acorn was doing that. It’s one of the few buseinesses that can make a profit under Obama.

Prostitution
Gun manufacturing
Ammo manufacturing

That’s it.

Looks like he's bigger than a "Loan Officer"

Mr. Guilermo Loaiza: Mr. Loaiza is a Mortgage Officer with J.P. Morgan Chase & Company. He has been in the mortgage industry for 10 years. He is the president of the Arizona ACORN Housing Corporation, and a former member of ACORN. He attended Phoenix College. He has been a resident of the South Mountain Village community for over a decade where he lives with his family. Prior to moving to Phoenix, Mr. Loaiza lived in New York City.

J.P. Morgan is ducking for cover. Loaiza, their employee, was the President of Acorn Housing Corporation, and one of the five members of its board. Loaiza himself is a native of New York City.

Acorn is still listed on the Federal HUD website as of today.

“Rats leaving a sinking ship”

Hardly. This thug will probably step into another ACORN branch at twice the pay.

ACORN’s had the bankers of America by their short hairys for years. At least at the corporate level they were a necessary evil they had to deal with, not a partner of choice.

They are indeed!

...I just perused a Yahoo!/AP story about Bank Of America 'suspending' its ties with the embattled ACORN.

My read on this is that this guy was an ACORN plant into this banking unit. A trade-off for ACORN not launching protests and demonstrations against the unit. White Collar Extortion in other words. They, the bank, puts this guy into a loan officer position and this guy funnels monies to ACORN applicants.
Same routine the 'mob' has been using for decades.

WHERE THE RICO ACT WHEN YA NEED IT?

Jessie Jackson the shakedown expert used his org Rainbow-PUSH to force companies to give him money and often he also demanded targetted companies put one or more of his picks on their boards.
