Posted on 09/30/2009 2:16:58 PM PDT by kara2008
Tons of readers are asking about the American Police Force jail contract in Hardin, Montana.
Neil Katz at CBS News reported:
This is the strange story of how American Police Force, a little known company which claims to specialize in training military and security forces overseas, has seemingly taken control of a $27 million, never-used jail, and a rural Montana town’s nonexistent police force.
After arriving in this tiny city with three Mercedes SUVs marked with the logo of a police department that has never existed, representatives of the obscure California security company said preparations were under way to take over Hardin’s jail, which has no prisoners.
Significant obstacles remain – including a lack of any contracts to acquire prisoners from other jails or other states.
And on Friday came the revelation the company’s operating agreement for the facility has yet to be validated – two weeks after city leaders first unveiled what they said was a signed agreement.
Still, some Hardin leaders said the deal to turn over the 464-bed jail remained on track.
The agreement with American Police Force has been heavily promoted by members of the city’s economic development branch, the Two Rivers Authority. Authority Vice President Albert Peterson on Friday repeated his claim to be 100 percent confident in the company.
The lead public figure for American Police Force, Michael Hilton, said more than 200 employees would be sought for the jail and a proposed military and law enforcement training center.
The secrecy has led to speculation that the deal is tied to President Obama’s search for Gitmo detainee housing alternatives in the U.S. Hardin jail officials expressed interest in accepting released Gitmo enemy combatants last spring.
There’s not enough info to determine what exactly is going on — so Montana legislators are doing their jobs and trying to get to the bottom of it:
Montana Rep. Bob Ebinger said more rumors were likely until Hardin and the company provide more details.
“Always when things are secretive, you end up getting everybodyon both the right and the leftmaking suppositions about what’s going on,” said Ebinger, a Democrat from Livingston.
Ebinger and other members of the Legislature’s Law and Justice Committee said they would ask Hardin officials to provide more information about the company.
In addition to taking over the 464-bed, $27 million jail, the company has said it will sink $17 million into a military training center and is seeking 5,000 acres or more for a live-fire training ground.
Company spokeswoman Becky Shay said there were no plans to reveal the project’s financial backers.
They are not going to be able to sustain that position for long.
Very strange stuff going on in this town.

My guess is for Gitmo.
Gotta get the tinfoil out for this comment, but I hope someone is checking for any links between APF or any of its employees, and ACORN, any of its fronts, or the SEIU.
Curiouser and curiouser!
Alex Jones/Coast to Coast AM crowd - grain of salt
Michelle Malkin - could have some validity
Hundreds of replies on different threads.
I’m still on record of claiming this is an internet hoax.
It’s either viral marketing for Red Dawn 2010, or some weirdo off-brand government sub-sub-contractor trying to prep for federal proposals.
Ridiculous, not nefarious.
>>> Im still on record of claiming this is an internet hoax. <<<<
Hoax, viral marketing, or loser wannabe federal contractor.
>>> Alex Jones/Coast to Coast AM crowd - grain of salt <<<
that alone is nearly complete proof that it’s a hoax
You may be on to something. I was just in Hardin last month for my niece’s wedding. There is an empty brand new prison there that the locals built a few years ago hoping, unsuccessfully thus far, to attract some clients.
Why are the police logos the same as the coat of arms for Serbia?
Anyone check out Snopes?
Maybe in a week.
But this is probably too new for Snopes.
Your power-hungry, thieving, globalist, bipartisan superiors are only getting your goat with the propaganda about the hastily contrived vapor-company, fake municipal police department insignia, and all of that. They sponsor/fund political white noise in order to distract you while they, for example, pass a wrongful bill. Read the details between the lines and think. It steals less of your attention, if you read the facts and think thoroughly through the what-ifs. More time is wasted lazily speculating through the same trash many times. ...see?

Check the background of the superintendent in that story. Me...? I detest psycho-_____ REMF/civilian head-gamers. They’re as worthless as egg sucking hound dogs. ;-) They’re idiotic amateurs...effeminate wimps.
Also, BTW, spare some time to watch the slimier bills in Congress, Administration propositions, etc. Don’t buy anything that you don’t need. Starve the beast. Start a hobby of learning to make something useful. And above all, be nonpolitical.
“Work will make you Free”...Translated from the German on the walls outside of their abattoir.
My guess is some eastern european immigrants are trying to set up a quasi-military security force for government contracts. Sort of a Blackwater/Xe lite. The company spokesman had a pretty thick accent.
Cross Ref Thread:
Please see this:
The server for APFs website happens to host Defense Product Solutions website. This company registered its domain name way back on June 19, 2009. Note that both APF and DPS use the double-headed eagle for their corporate logos. AlliedDefenseSystems.com (registered March 2007) appears to be a related site. This websites administrative contact is Mohammad Abdalla. Mr. Abdalla is listed as the COO for this company in Anaheim, CA.
Heres where it gets more strange. The admin e-mail is for a Mr. Edward Angelino, who just happens to be listed as a small business contact for Defense Logistics Services, Inc., a company that appears to be providing foreign military sales support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Mr. Angelino has an interesting tracking record when it comes to both lawsuits and government contracts.
This site has a lot more information.
For anyone interested. After the past few days, I decided to try to make contact with someone in Hardin. Which I did today.....The 'American Inn' (I'm thinking it's Hardin's only motel) and her name was Dana. Speaking with her, she said she had not personally seen SUV's but had 'heard' rumors. She also said there were no gates being built at the entrances "that she saw" but again, she "had heard rumors". I hung up feeling I had more questions than answers, but unless I personally speak with a member from FR (a long term member) or fly out to MT to verify this with my own eyes, it's all speculation. Although I will say, and this is just imo, it would be almost impossible not to notice/see a 'force' move in (if it has) in a town of that size. The town I'm in is appx 6500 and you can't belch without everyone knowing.
Footnote: After hanging up with 'Dana' the above site 'popped' up on my PC. It is linked to Hardin's main website, but I thought it odd that it popped up just when I hung up with her.
Question to any MT Freepers: Are you close enough to check this out? 2nd question: Isn't MT a 'Republican' held state? I asked that, because during the Gore/Bush debacle I was looking for strictly conservative states and MT was listed. 3rd and final question: Doesn't Dick Cheney live there? (still?)
