Speaking of H1N1, my kids’ school had a 20% absenteeism rate Tuesday, and was told yesterday they had a call into the district offices to determine what would be done. Today no one would give me straight answers when I asked. I have 2 kids home sick with “probable” cases.

I am still incredibly confused. We haven’t had a choice with the vaccine yet, as it is unavailable here, but I think most likely we would have passed, especially since I am reading articles of re-infections. There are confirmed cases from spring that have been sick again the fall and again, confirmed H1N1. Makes me wonder if the vaccine would even be effective if this is the case.
I am torn as my middle child had RSV as an infant and is very susceptible to pneumonia. But we are taking extra vitamin D and C, I have albuterol for her, and she has had a pneumonia vaccine. I am anxious to see if I change my opinion after today’s show.

I’m leaning heavily toward NOT getting the H1N1 for my husband, kids or self. Now I’m reading that the Seasonal Flu Vaccine can also help with the H1N1.
I heard earlier that the spray dosage has mercury in it and the shot has the actual live virus in it...........
