Behind the Scenes: Picturing Fetal Remains

[There are no graphic images in the article proper. They are accessed through a slide show only.]

The photographs are graphic and detailed, showing the fingers or toes of aborted fetuses whose entire frames are no bigger than a cellphone. Since the mid-1990s, they have appeared all over the country — carried as posters by protesters, handed out with pamphlets or, in some cases, mounted like billboards on the sides of trucks.

Like many others, I often wondered about the source of these images. Who took the pictures? Where did the fetuses come from?

I had a chance to find some answers while reporting in late September on the death of James Pouillon, the anti-abortion protester who was shot and killed in Owosso, Mich. [See Saturday's presentation on the subject in The New York Times.]

Okay America, close your eyes and just keep repeating, “we’re not Nazi Germany, we’re not Nazi Germany...”

I clearly recall the moment I became solidly pro-life. Being only 15 during the roe v/s wade decision, didn’t have a clue about anything. Fast forward 10 years and I was on a business trip into St. Louis on the anniversary of R v Wade (didn’t realize that until after) and there were people standing at stoplights and I thought “crap....I don’t have any money” as I thought they were wanting donations. Anyway, as fate would have it, I was caught at one of the red lights and someone from a group walked over and handed a newspaper type paper to me; didn’t ask for money or anything. When I looked at it, it contained graphic pictures of aborted fetuses piled in a dumpster in the back of a CA physician’s practice. Those photos changed my view forever. That’s why the insane left has a fit every time billboards or posters or anything is shown......it just might change someone’s mind or as in my case (never thought anything about abortion to that point) bring stark reality into focus. Bless anyone who can expose the truth.

We were talking about these pics the other day. She has likely done more to change America’s thinking about abortion than all the Pro-Life groups combined. Those pics are hard to look at since they are undeniable what they are. Those are not fetuses, they’re babies w/o a question.

Pray for America and the Women Destroyed by Abortion

“Look and leave a comment.”

Disgusting is one comment. Horrific is another. Heart-rending is one more. Abhorent is pretty good. Murder is another. Pathetic execution of an innocent human that experienced the horror and fear of murder is one more.

May G-d forgive us.

I clearly recall the moment I became solidly pro-life.

For me, 8th Grade Catholic School with a presentation of various aborted children at different developmental stages and a history lesson on Margret Sanger, the founder of planned parenthood.EVERYONE was convinced.

We had a couple black girls in class who wanted to firebomb Planned Parenthood after learning about Sanger.

I finally left my comment. Hopefully it will be approved soon. Writing a comment wasn’t difficult. Editing out all the brutal honesty to it would be approved was the hard part.

Our HS biology dept also had a fetus in a jar. It was very old and I have no idea where it came from, but I think it was important for the students to see that this was just a tiny person, NOT a blob of tissue. Whoever that little person in the jar was, she likely changed someone’s mind about what abortion is.

Thank you for the ping, or no thank you ... my old heart isn't up for the horror of those images.

I no longer feel tolerant or charitable toward those who work to protect this evil, like the current oval office occupant worked in IL to protect the murdering of just born alive infants.

One might argue (speciously) that a ten weeks from conception human being has no concept of pain or life, but forcing a baby to be born prematurely, so that alive child struggles for sometimes hours trying to breath and live only to struggle, suffer and suffocate, alone, unattended, is beyond stupid ignorance, it is willful demonic directed action.

Barack Obama is dead-soul wicked in that way! And too many of the Ameircan populace mebrace him as some kind of savior.

Evil, pure evil, struts openly now across the land. We will pay the price for embracing such evil. America is on the verge of chaos, mayhem, and utter bloody conflict, as the animals who would embrace such an evil man will not hesitate to commit any atrocity to get what they want to survive at any cost.

By rejecting the formulation and affirmation of taboos against such evils, the society has plummeted into wanton debauchery and degeneracy. God is not mocked.

How interesting. I was a product of Public Ed. and of course they wouldn’t dare teach anything like that. Sanger was a Nazi b*tch and it’s a shame that women of color don’t know the history of her. But it wasn’t just racial it was also economics...i.e. ‘poor’ women (white included). A whole new twist on ‘cleansing’ was invented with that Nazi.

This is a photograph I took (it was the last one on my roll!) for a video I was making ... do you see anything in particular in the shadow on the little girl's sign?

The comment I just posted:
You can NOT justify the killing of innocents by pretending to know their fate.
Most abortions in America are the result of selfishness, not poverty. They are a result of a culture with no sense of consequence, which promotes no sense of responsiblity. Those pretending that late term abortions are rare, NEVER advocate for outlawing them. Nobody presenting the bleeding heart arguments for abortion are willing to restrict abortion to those narrow circumstances.
