The Republican National Committee is making its first large financial commitment to the party's candidate in a New York special election, fighting back criticism that the party has allowed Democrats to jump to an early lead.
The RNC will give $85,000 to the coordinated campaign efforts, the maximum allowed by federal law. And the RNC will give the New York state Republican Party what a source described as a six-figure transfer in order to run more advertising on behalf of Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava (R).
Meanwhile, the RNC has sent two paid staffers to help Scozzafava's campaign, and it has committed to fully funding the party's victory program, aimed at increasing turnout in the Nov. 3 special election.

As for the Democrats, clearly they have lost their minds. So, while they are preparing to hang themselves, I say, why not just feed them more rope? The point being, I want them to show themselves for what they truly are, so that they can be beaten down once and for all, so we won't have to keep facing this Socialist bullsh*t every couple election cycles.
As for the Republicans, if they think that they are simply entitled to power (by way of my vote) because they're not Democrats, then they can go to hell.
Both major parties have gotten completely drunk on power and Big Government, and until one or both of them becomes sober again, I have no use for them.

The GOP gave you the Bush tax cuts. Largest tax-cuts in history. The Democrats are going to let them expire.
Democrats are with the Stimulus, Cap and Tax and Health Care destruction will pass the largest nationalization of GDP in history, and you are busy acting as a propaganda agent for them.

I'm going to fire anyone who runs a deficit now, because it's fairly clear where how part of the deficit is being financed: through Social Security and Medicare receipts that are processed as part of the Federal government's general funds.

The Bush tax cuts...followed by trillions in nation-building in Iraq and Afghanistan, $1.2 trillion in Medicare Part D, untold amounts for No Child Left Behind, the Bush-Paulson financial services bailout in October 2008, and all those deficits you mentioned.
Those deficits are going to have to be paid some day. Deficit spending constitutes tax increases deferred, and the Bush administration along with the Republican Congresses of 2000 through 2006 are just as guilty as the Obama administration and the Democrat Congress of the present. The degree to which both sides have engaged in such conduct is irrelevant, as it does not change the fact that they still spent like drunken sailors.

Let's see...I've posted plenty of stories highlighting how Republican Lindsey Graham is joining Democrat John Kerry to support cap-and-tax, and you're calling me a propagandist for the Democrats? Oh, by the way, you know who was the first to support cap-and-tax? Republicans John McCain and John Warner, along with Democrat Joe Lieberman, who many "conservatives" backed simply due to his interventionist foreign policy positions.
The Democrats clearly aren't alone in supporting anti-American, un-Constitutional policies.

I see Republicans are back at it, reaffirming their “stupid party” label. They could crush the Dims in 2010 if there was anyone with brains running the show.

You may certainly be on to something. Michel Medved stated that “third parties are for morons”. However, even believing that, he said he is considering supporting Hoffman. I wanted to hear his reasoning, but he was going on a news break and I was late to a lunch appointment.

The problem is that tne New York State Republican Party considers winning elections secondary to keeping conservatives away from party control.

I’m not really sure. Based on what things look like today, he has momentum, and could pull this thing to a virtual toss up if he can sustain this momentum.

This district is fairly conservative. There are 46,000 more Republicans than Democrats in the district. There should have been a lesson to the GOP in 2008. Their former congressman, John McHugh had a 71.5% rating from the National Conservative Union. The problem is that today, the RNC stepped in with big funding for Scozzafava. And the Democrat has a fundraiser planned in NYC with Pres__ent Obama scheduled to appear.
So we really need to spread the word to every TEA Party Patriots group and every 9/12 group. I still think that Hoffman has a chance. I’m certain that the message “RINO=defeat” has been achieved. Taking it to the next step, “RINO=Independent Conservative victory” will be much more difficult. But I think it is doable, at least theoretically.
If it can be done, that is a huge deal for the Republicans and for the TEA partiers and 9/12ers. It could change the dynamic between Republicans and these independent conservatives.
