Breaking: Palin Supports Hoffman
The Weekly Standard ^ | October 22, 2009 08:17 PM | John McCormack

THE WEEKLY STANDARD just received a statement from Sarah Palin endorsing conservative Doug Hoffman for Congress:

The people of the 23rd Congressional District of New York are ready to shake things up, and Doug Hoffman is coming on strong as Election Day approaches! He needs our help now.

The votes of every member of Congress affect every American, so it's important for all of us to pay attention to this important Congressional campaign in upstate New York. I am very pleased to announce my support for Doug Hoffman in his fight to be the next Representative from New York's 23rd Congressional district. It's my honor to endorse Doug and to do what I can to help him win, including having my political action committee, SarahPAC, donate to his campaign the maximum contribution allowed by law.

Our nation is at a crossroads, and this is once again a "time for choosing."

The federal government borrows, spends, and prints too much money, while our national debt hits a record high. Government is growing while the private sector is shrinking, and unemployment is on the rise. Doug Hoffman is committed to ending the reckless spending in Washington, D.C. and the massive increase in the size and scope of the federal government. He is also fully committed to supporting our men and women in uniform as they seek to honorably complete their missions overseas.

And best of all, Doug Hoffman has not been anointed by any political machine.

Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty.

Political parties must stand for something. When Republicans were in the wilderness in the late 1970s, Ronald Reagan knew that the doctrine of "blurring the lines" between parties was not an appropriate way to win elections. Unfortunately, the Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate that more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race. This is why Doug Hoffman is running on the Conservative Party's ticket.

Republicans and conservatives around the country are sending an important message to the Republican establishment in their outstanding grassroots support for Doug Hoffman: no more politics as usual.

You can help Doug by visiting his official website below and joining me in supporting his campaign:

This statement will be on Palin's Facebook page soon.

What I’d like to see is a true conservative party that I could join.

Mitt’s having a book ghost written. There’s a lot of people that have trouble sleeping. I’m sure it will help those people.

So, see, Mitt is useful.

I would have done so already except that in CA we only have two choices in the primary - democrat ballot or Republican ballot.

Palin is doing exactly what she said, she will support conservative candidates regardless of party affiliation.

I’d settle for a out an out Conservative Republican Faction in the GOP. Then we would see who has the money, the staff, the poll workers, etc. Mods would have to crawl to us. It would be a real 180 degree. The party slaves will become masters. Thank God At Last!

Right now, the primaries in 2010 are the only reason I am still affiliated with the GOP.

Steel and Gingrich are busy looking for their gonads and a political party they can ruin.

I received a call from Newt’s group two days ago. When I got done with the guy, he wanted off the telephone FAST; even before he could ask for money. ROFLMAO

He did mention that I wasn’t the only angry person he had talked to that day. LOL

Great news!!! This has been a day for great news!!! Also check out “The Most Important Number in Politics Today.”

Doug Hoffman is the Conservative alternative in this race (or Hoffman by PayPal).

Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.

Scozzafava also holds these positions:

Scozzafava has also run in past elections on the Working Families Party (a progressive party associated with ACORN) line on the ballot.

This lady isn’t a RINO, she is a big “R” libeRal democRat. Mark Steyn has coined the term DIABLO for her and others like her. Democrat In All But Label Only.

There are also at least 17 unprincipled DIABLO enablers in the house who have donated funds or otherwise supported to this LibeRal democRat's DIABLO’s campaign. They include Boehner, Cantor, Sessions, Hensarling, Brown-Waite and McCotter. I don’t have a full list, but I will be looking for it. These unprincipled enablers should be targeted for elimination in the primaries next year. Also, perhaps those of us who donated to the RNC or RCCC should ask for our money back so we can support the conservative candidates of our choice.

More threads ...
From the desk of
cc2k:
I support Doug Hoffman for Congress (PayPal).

Please, spread the word about this important election on November 3, 2009 in New York’s 23rd congressional district.

That can happen if/when enough of us stop putting up with the RINO’s and only support conservative candidates.

When one comes along we’ll join.
Even then we’ll have to keep our eyes open.

Political parties come and go. They serve at the behest of their members. When they no longer meet the needs of their constituents, some other party will.

We voters have been bringing the republicans to the party, but the rinos choose to dance with someone else. That no longer works for me. See ya.

Fred Thompson came out for Hoffman before Sarah Palin.

Both of them are heavy weights.
