Why is KBH doing this to the Texas Republican Party? This is going to be a mud-slinging mess.

I feel like I’m in one of those movies where everyone around me that I love & trust is trying to kill me behind my back.

The last few years have been hard, people that I really looked up to & respected have disappointed me so badly. Say it ain’t so Dick?

I don’t know why, Texas.

She sucks and apparantly Dick Cheney sucks as well. Rick Perry isn’t perfect, but compared to Hairspray Kay, he’s Thos. Jefferson from what I’ve read, seen and heard.

Go Rick Go!

Please see my post #67 in this thread. We’re on the same wavelength.

Yep. I have the same taste in my mouth.

This one hurts worse than most.

At least maybe we’ll be finished with one of them regardless of the outcome.

But I’m not sure it’s relevant. Endorsements like this, especially when done this early,

This is really a fundraiser in Houston but in so doing it’s also an endorsement. It remains to be seen how active if at all he’ll become in the actual campaign as it begins to heat up after the first of the year. But Cheney can raise a lot of cash in Texas with his connections.

The Bush Cheney admin did nothing to repeal Clinton and Bush41 anti 2nd amendment Executive orders, They also supported Amnesty, Dubai Ports, the GM and Bear bailouts and the biggest spending ever until Bozo was sworn in and drove the jalopy off a cliff.

Therefore Cheney is the Rino not Palin. Not even arguable otherwise.

True. I just hate that we have to divide the party like this. I think it’s really going to get messy.

It’s going to be an interesting fight. Perry lost more votes than most non-Texans can imagine over the trans-Texas-corridor. Hutchison is weak in other areas. We’re looking at two very damaged candidates in Texas.

Paulistinian as you are, the question is whether you are capable of understanding factual argument or simply devoted to endless repetition of paleopacifism, and knee jerk libertoonianism and admiration of the anti-American Galveston freakazoid, phony and fraud?

Don’t worry, Gary Johnson is pro-abortion and pro-open borders. He won’t get anywhere.

I don’t think you grasp how unsettling the TTC (Perry’s baby) was to many Republicans. I’m not saying that Perry won’t win (or that he will) but he certainly hurt himself with a great many small government conservatives. The proposed use of eminent domain to make way for the TTC in unprecedented. It’s on scale that’s never been seen before.

Perry strikes me a pandering, self-aggrandizing tool-- the consummate politician. I sincerely doubt he has any substantive convictions beyond advancing along his own political career path and enhancing his overall marketability. Can a stint on "Dancing With The Stars" be too distant? Jessica Simpson isn't busy I hear. Or maybe some new reality show set in the Gov Mansion. This is how I imagine Governor Good Hair if his dearest dreams ever come true.

KBH: A very decent lady who has been around a long time but not the most adept, to be kind...definitely not a strong personality or leader. I don't think either candidate boasts more Conservative cred than the other here.

We need a fresh Conservative face in Texas to set a proper example for the rest of the country and lead us out of the socialist abyss. And no one in sight.

-—”Well, I guess we can all start trashing that RINO Cheney now.”-—
Yup, because everything he has ever done for us is now forgotten since he endorsed a “RINO.” Plus, he’s for gay marriage, AND he held a fundraiser for a Pro-Iraq-War DEMOCRAT while still in office!.......I mean, the list is ENDLESS if you dig deep, cherry-pick, and have a relentless memory and keep a scorecard!

Heck, besides Reagan, what elected official in our lifetimes has done more to advance the Conservative cause than Newt Gingrich - and SUCCESSFULLY so? Yet if you read FR, he’d might as well be endorsing Mao for President of the U.S. by backing a person he knows and likes who won the Party nomination for the NY Congressional seat.

Everything Newt has ever done for the Conservative moment - which is quite a lot, second only to Reagan among elected officials - is all forgotten. Now it’s time for him to “go away,” “go to hell,” blah, blah, blah...........did I mention he once tried to work with the opposition leader to achieve compromise legislation? I mean if he were a REAL Conservative, the moment Nancy Pelosi walked into the same room as him, he would have spit in her face and left the room - heck, the whole city - in protest!

So I guess it’s time to say goodbye to Dick Cheney’s good graces. Sorry, Mr. V.P., I like you - but the scorecard now reads more than three transgressions, which means you’re officially a RINO - heck, maybe a full-blown Liberal - for your heinous crimes!

Newt, Cheney — let’s see, what other successful Conservative leader can we excommunicate now?.......
