DENVER - After pounding Colorado's Front Range and metropolitan Denver for more than two days with snow, a powerful Winter Storm pushed into eastern Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas Thursday evening.
The snow and wind created blizzard conditions and forced the closure of several major highways, including Interstate 70 which was shut down from Aurora to the Kansas state line.
Also closed were I-76 from Brighton to Neb., US 34 from Brush to Neb., CO 71 from Neb. to Ordway, CO 61 from Sterling to Otis, and CO 59 between I-76 and Yuma.

But here in the US of A, the Global Warming is piling up in the heartland.
This winter will hopefully put the final nail in the AGW coffin! Stock up on firewood people it’s going to be a cold one.
20” fell at my house north and west of the Denver airport. Nice to get back to the weather pattern of the 80’s
VERY nice start to the ski and snowmobile season in the Rockies. Not even the 1st of November and there’s a sweet blanket on the slopes.
Ka Ching.
Back about 14-15 years ago El Nino was the rage! All the news broadcasters had segments on EL NINO!
In the middle of November there was a big snowstorm in Kansas and nebraska.
Our local news chick in NW Arkansas stood outside and, with the most terrified look on her face, said...”The question that is on everyone’s minds! IS THIS EL NINO?”
I said a few choice words at the TV and would have thrown a shoe at it except the TV wasn’t mine.
This year we had an October storm in Kansas and Nebraska. No one hyped El Nino.
I’m ready for the resorts to start publishing their snow reports. The ones I have seen look like they are opening around Thanksgiving, but maybe this extra snow will cause some to open earlier.

No they will claim it was caused by CO2 anyway and declare their own brand of victory.
That is going to be a neat trick after 10-15 years of telling us CO2 causes glogal warming.
That isn’t snow on your driveway, it is “Dry Ice”!!!!
