Scozzafava Endorses Democrat After Dropping Out of N.Y. Congressional Race
Fox News ^ | 11/01/09

Republican Dede Scozzafava endorsed her former Democratic opponent Sunday in the race for an upstate New York congressional seat, one day after Scozzafava dropped out of the contest.

Scozzafava dropped out after Conservative Party candidate Dough Hoffman experienced a late-in-the-game surge. But on Sunday, Scozzafava backed Democrat Bill Owens -- the announcement was made in a statement send out by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

"I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same," she said. "In Bill Owens, I see a sense of duty and integrity that will guide him beyond political partisanship. He will be an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York. Bill understands this district and its people, and when he represents us in Congress he will put our interests first."

Cheers!

Newt hurts the party, plain and simple. He’s a go-along-to-get-along politician and is in the mold of Juan McClame. The party needs a cleansing, and Newt needs to find another hobby.

Excellent!

Need more proof that RINO’s are exactly what we, the wisest among us, have been saying they are?

She would have been supporting democRATS in similar ways had the phony Republican been elected.

How can you turn so fast, you say? Because it was never about principle with this waste of space.

Keep cleaning!

I had to wonder about Chair turning a blind eye and actually going to bat for her with Steele and Cong Sessions — figured he might have received a tidy sum — wish we could prove it came from someone on behalf of the Dems. Anyone who lives in those counties in the district needs to demand to see the records which are open to any registered Republican. No records on what happened — organize a meeting and toss out the people. Check the party rules on how to remove a County Chair and then go after the State Chair — have a hunch you could get some national help with that one after this debacle.

Would bet my last dollar after hearing Jarrett that she would have become a Dem if elected. No way she would have fit in the GOP Conference. Wouldn’t shock me if this was a set up by Emmanuel and the WH all along and they never counted on Conservatives standing up.

You are exactly right! Good post. That's when it started. The liberals invaded our colleges and education, in general.

Why not infiltrate the opposite party - it's a no brainer! And giving us McCain was, IMO, the last straw. Then came Sarah (considered a female Reagan) and they haven't let up on her.

Some think the GOP finally woke up - it's not that at all, they were, merely, exposed! We can't forget Newt's words - the era of Reagan is over. Now how telling is that.

Exactly! A lot of them should have become Dems IMHO! There is also the problem of Dems who became GOP to get elected.

We don’t usually have that problem in the south and the middle of the Country as our Dems are pretty conservative to conservative moderate for the most part and if they become Republican they fit right in with everyone.

This lady wouldn’t be a moderate in the Dem Party so she never should have been a Republican when you look at her background. She would have fit right in with the Kennedy’s IMHO.

Newt should be too embarrassed to show his face. He looks like an absolute fool. I think it’s hilarious.

Sean gives Newt way too much airtime. Let’s get some real conservatives in his place asap.

I've tried twice to come up with a response this comment, but it's too idiotic for a rational response.

But yet you still had to comment....

libertarians not unlike Rinos (liberals/libertarians in republican clothing) and leftists all enthusiastically support dope legalization, pornography, perversion, abortion, flag burning/desecration, that is a fact. libertarians just support it in the name of "liberty" like that's a legitimate excuse.

I’m sure he knew exactly what was going on, and it is the same kind of template those in the Republican leadership have been applying to candidates running for offices with an “R” hanging off the ends of their names that have been geting us further and further in the hole since 2004...

They know it, but unfortunately there has not been a lot of imagination to change that philosophy...

Thats what has them so kerplimped about this Sarah Palin lady...She may be a little rough around the edges, but that is a far sight better than a lot of the shlups like this Dede and John McCain have given us true conservatives we’ve been forced to deal with in the last few election cycles...

I believe they are coming around, yet, I got a sneeky feeling it is too late...We may have to put up with a few more stupid things before it starts to correct itself...

Just my opinion...

Someone needs to photoshop a sofa showing Newt surrounded by Hillary, Bela Pelosi, Rev Al Sharpton, and Howard “the scream” Dean (Newt’s newest buddy). I feel sorry for any conservative who feels loyal to him now. Newt’s edged over the cliff and anyone following him will be going over the edge with him.

I believe the Dems have put many of their own in our races thus having two candidates so either way they win.

Probably have been doing it for years too and of course many republican voters vote for the R just like Dem voters do for the D.

We have to out these infiltrators before the next election other wise the Dems will be getting more and mroe seats in the house and senate.
