November and winter is now upon us and it is almost frightening to realise it is almost a year ago that the election was held that made us realise that the previous 8 years of President George W Bush time as President was drawing to an end.
Even though it has been about 9 months since George W Bush left office for many it seems another age so much seems to have changed and many things we hold dear now seem to mean nothing.
We miss the class and character that George W Bush, his wife and of course his father and mother portrayed to the American nation and the world.
I hope the following photos will help us remember time of maybe great sadness and challenge for the nation but also a feeling that there was somebody at the helm that was strong, confident and above all put his love for his country and fellow men first and always did and said what he believed to be the right thing to do.

Of course, I miss him, too. We all knew he would have to leave after 8 years, but I had so hoped there would be someone worthy to follow him in office. Sadly, that is not the case.
When looking at these photos, President Bush’s love of people and this country just shines from his face. Not at all what we see now.
Couldn’t help but see Powell and think about how he was sneaking around leaking things and causing trouble. I do miss Rummy.

I received an email this morning from a WA friend from Australia. I can’t remember her screen name so she will remain anonymous until she introduces herself. DrDeb...I've been thinking about that link you most recently shared with us of W in India....I think we all know the nuances of W's moods. I'm surprised I didn't think of it sooner--probably because I was so jazzed to see currently see him speaking. Maybe it's just me, but I think W is inwardly mad at what's going on in our Nation....it shows in the level of passion in the delivery of his words....IMHO. Your thoughts?

I think you are right about W’s anger. He has been criticized his whole presidency for making us less loved around the world, and yet this current idiot has truly made us less safe and less RESPECTED! All patriots weep at the current state our beautiful country is in!

SoCal Freepers...I just heard yesterday of an event at the Universal Ampitheatre in Universal City...the last two former presidents (x42 and Bush43) will be there, on - of all days - my birthday...Monday, February 22, 2010. I’m not sure of the website with the information.
His answers are waaay more curt than I’ve ever heard them be before this. I say good - I’ll TAKE it. AND W deserves to be able to at LEAST have THAT as a vehicle for his feelings to be known...and known to those of us who care and can interpret that nuance.
