Porkulus was a big giveway/vote buy. I don’t know why he won’t go for 2.0. It makes it almost impossible for him to lose an election. Much more effective than handing out cash on election day.

I actually heard on WJR Detroit last week that Michigan dropped it’s Civics/Government requirement for High School graduation 4 or 5 years ago! No wonder we are in bad shape!

Michigan requires .5 credit in Civics/Government for HS graduation. Additionally, they require .5 credit in economics...this was not required when I graduated in the mid-’70s.

I think Government was required by ‘76...why I would have elected to take Government in my senior year, I have no idea but back then, we did lots of stuff without knowing why.
