On Friday, this NewsBuster [FReeper governsleastgovernsbest] noted how Pres. Obama, questioned at a news conference in Japan, twice refused to say whether he thought the United States' dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was "the right decision."
Yesterday on Fox News Watch, Jim Pinkerton noted the NewsBusters nugget. The Fox News contributor and New America Foundation fellow observed that PBO's failure had huge implications for America's nuclear deterrent.

We were ready to use the second and last bomb in our inventory in case the Japanese didn't believe that we couldn't have any more bombs and "called our bluff."
As it turned out, had they called our bluff for the second time, they would have been right.
IMO, it was the right decision to use two bombs to convince the Japanese that the cost of not surrendering could have inflicted eventual annihilation.
By ducking the question, He DID apologize!
This is a bit off-topic, but on the topic of dropping the atomic bombs on Japan to end the war, I highly recommend a docudrama, “The Last Mission”, that was originally shown on The History Channel about 3 years ago. (I think you can now buy it on the Discovery Channel’s website.) It shows how the last combat bombing mission of WWII intersected with a last ditch coup attempt by fanactical junior officers of the Japanese army. Basically, just as the coup members were about to kidnap Hirohito on his way to record a speech to the nation announcing the surrender, American bombers flying overhead caused a blackout in Tokyo. This delayed the emperor’s motorcade to the recording studio and sent the coup leader scrambling for more troops. As a result, when the emperor did pass the concealed troops, the coup leader was absent and no one else had the nerve to order the emperor’s seizure.
My Kenyan President hates America. I am not even kidding.
Not saying you’re wrong...I’m wondering if we’d announced that we’d use a second bomb if the Japanese didn’t surrender within a few days...if maybe they might have.
We’ll never know...but I’m not sure Nagasaki was necessay...what?...four days after Hiroshima?
Truman was essentially right...that Obama would not know this is AMAZING.
No problem, kjo.
The Japanese were very tough-minded, especially the younger generation who would have taken over to carry on with a kamikaze war.
The message was loud and clear; after Pearl Harbor and death marches; we’ll kill you all unless you surrender.
We showed them that we were capable to deliver and that brought on their immediate surrender.
I dont think he doesn't know, rather, he doesn't believe because for a non-American to be un-American shouldn't be a surprise.
The misconception is that Obama is "well educated." He isn't. He went to and "passed" Harvard through Affirmative Action and PC. He couldn't write proper English. He's hiding all his records that may very well prove that his GPAs were negative 3!! Nobody ever saw him or associated with him in Columbia University.
You may ask whether I have any links. The answer is no, because they don't exist. However, we're asked to take his word for his non-existent paper trail. Well, I ask you to take my word over his! LOL
Until Soros puppet shows us his paper trail, he'll continue to be 0b0z0.
the government and military of Japan were not going to surrender after the second one either...
it was only because the Emperor decided to surrender...
and then the military try to overthrow the Emperor and keep fighting
Also Japan DID NOT unconditionally surrender as we demanded...the Emperor was not remove, tried, jailed or touched..
If we had gotten an unconditional surrender the Emperor was going to on trial for war crimes and looking at the gallows
So many myth abound if the A bomb was "needed"
Also on the "we did it to keep the Russians out"...
The Russians were never going to set foot on Japan unless we let them...why?....
They had no Navy or sea lift to get troops there..
dam hard to invade an island with out it..
Cheers for glgb !! Doing the job the MSM won’t do, day in and day out, year after year.
Nice work!
