No words needed really. Ill Gov looks at this as an 'opportunity'. It's enough to make a 'normal' person vomit.

Gitmo prisoners? Yeah right.

More like enemies of the state. Those opposing The One.

My guess is that they would’ve preferred to give the Gitmo detainees the parking meter concession, or a hand in running the Skyway, but those revenue sources have aready been liquidated.

But I guess if they can scratch up a few bucks selling the feds a used prison, at the minimal cost of hosting a hundred or so cutthroats, that’ll do just fine.

Your democrat machine at its best.

Well, there’s an interesting twist....bringing terrorists to America = jobs. According to the article, they are also looking at locations in Colorado and Montana.

Some people will do anything to get elected. Talking about jobs created out of the Gitmo crap just to get votres. Yeah, Governor, just think of all those “first reponder” jobs that will be created when Chi Town is attacked.

I can tell you that living in the County where the prison is, it makes me a little bit nervous about the visitors these terrorists will be receiving.

Interesting note; the rumor being spread is that it will bring 3,000 jobs to the area...so, we are to believe there will be 30 jobs for each prisoner...sure.

I think ‘Hardin’ Montana was considered but don't know if it's still in the running. There was such an outrage over a security firm driving into that town (that had no official law enforcement) in Mercedes Benz SUVs, people thought that Martial Law was being imposed on their town (do a search on Hardin).

It's a sad sad day and has been for quite awhile, when we look at prison facilities as ‘opportunities’. In this particular case it's despicable.

Anyone who takes a job at this prison will be a target. The guy who delivers bread will be a target. And their families. This is really really wrong.

You are right. All one needs to do is read about the blinded guard in NY that is speaking out about bringing these animals to the states.

Remember Gov. Thompson’s “Build Illinois Program”? It pretty much consisted of building either a convention center or prison in every county. So now we have a prison, plenty of potential inmates, but none in this particular prison. The solution: sell it to the Feds, and house terrorists there. I’m sure, with not too much work, some home-grown thugs from Chicago could be rounded up and put in the prison, but noooooo...let’s create a really serious terrorist threat instead. Makes perfect sense to IL Democrats!!

Quinn says the site is being considered along with at least two others in Colorado and Montana.

Haven't heard a thing about ANY site here in MT even being considered for use. Something probably would have leaked and the Gov (a Dem) is pretty good about information and looking out for the state.

HEY!!!! There's a report about Hardin Jail on the news right now...!

>Wishy Washy wants to close Guantanamo
>Hardin residents say bring them
>MT council says no
>Facility will be mothballed for the winter

I'll send/post a link when they post the story.

I heard the same number on news reports today—3,000 jobs created to house about 100 prisoners, and a billion dollars pumped into the local economy....Where do they get these numbers??!
