NBC, which is last place in network ratings, has decided to double down on their green propaganda push this week by putting environmentalist messages in five of its shows: 30 Rock, Heroes, Community, The Office and The Biggest Loser. NBC is owned by GE. GE has positioned itself to make loads of money if green technology becomes dominant, so theyve not only invested a lot of capital in the Obama administration, theyre trying to get everyone on their bandwagon.
Its bad enough we get a sermon from many shows already, or that were lectured everywhere we turn. But the fact is, most of what theyre trying to say is inaccurate or just plan wrong in many cases. There is no solid evidence that human beings are causing global warming. More and more scientists are speaking out against that theory all the time. More people are feeling that the whole thing has been exaggerated.
But of course, thats not stopping NBC from lecturing us. I guess ratings arent an issue over there.
There was a time when Hollywood used to fill TV shows with propaganda from their sponsors. Now the spam comes from the Obama administration and their buddies at GE who want expensive windmills and solar cells to replace cheaper energy sources we already use. And to do that they want to pound on our heads until we scream uncle.
A better idea is to change the channel.

Kinda like in a relationship. If you push too hard, it will more than likely turn your partner away. NBC doesn’t seem to have this figured out.
I’m “going green” by leaving the TV off during these shows.
They all SUCK, anyway.
Just don’t watch that channel. We’re not watching NBC, ABC & CBS any more after their disgraceful pimping for Obama. They can take their deceitful messages and stuff it.
Don’t watch network (ABC, NBC, CBS) shows.....Has worked for me for the last 10 years or so.
The “OFF” button is so useful when NBS Goes Green. Saves tons of electricity.
I wonder it the safety net here (or maybe the intended end-game) is this:
1) People find out that the shows are propaganda
2) They get upset
3) Gvt to the rescue with gvt owned media (think BBC).
Insane? Of course. But do any of you doubt people can be that easily lead (mislead)?
The only show I watch on ANY GE-owned station is “Monk” on USA, which I DVR anyhow. So their “Going Moldy” for a week has little effect on my viewing habits, even if I did turn them off.
It is such a self-generating (no pun intended) debacle of the Green Lie.
I will watch “Biggest Loser” because at least it’s about people trying to help themselves and it preaches responsibility, accountability and self-reliance. I will watch Sunday Night Football, but only reluctantly because that f*g*y Collinsworth hurts my ears. Other than that I save the planet by not watching NFG...I mean NBC.
I was talking to an old veteran yesterday. He told me that once TV switched to digital/HDTV, he could NOT get rid of his old TV or even pay somebody to haul it off, so he took it outside, smashed it into numerous pieces, waited for the gases or whatever it is to diffuse, and bundled it up in several trash bags. Sounds like a good start.
But the visual image of an 86-year-old doing that was hilarious.
I wonder when corporations are going to realize that trying to appeal to old hippies isn’t really a sound business strategy?
A channel that has been pushing Obama’s agenda has the lowest ratings of all channels, and their solution is to push more of Obama’s agenda?
LOL
ALL the TV shows are pushing government healthcare too.
NBC has not figured it out yet.
The more the media tells me to be green, the more I go out of my way NOT to be green.
Only a moron could not see the brain-washing going on.
As if I needed to be informed by a personal trainer that a travel mug, used daily, could result in saving 365 styrofoam cups in a year. Hey wow, never thought of that! Still gonna use styrofoam!
