These scientists are basically correct, just have the timeframe off a bit. They meant to claim that temperatures WILL rise 6C by the end of the day tomorrow.
... and then fall by 6C tomorrow night, only to rise 6C again the day after tomorrow, etc...
What’s it like to be a “Climate Scientist”? To shown time and time again to be off or just plain wrong and still be treated as an expert? To have all kinds of embarrassing data exposed about how you’re manipulating data but still be treated as trustworthy?
What is that like???????????
Er, you may want to check the integrity of your email servers.
I've read through several hundreds of the emails and it appears to involve lots and lots of trips to conventions in Brussels, Beijing, Hawaii, Chicago, Switzerland ... all paid for.
At least it will offset any threat in the next century of any ice age.... sarcasm

You should be ticked off.
What we should be focusing on is adaptation to climate change and understanding what we need to do with all the climate trends, warming and cooling.
One of the best ways to do this is to learn on another planet or even the moon. Imagine the technology we could have if we pioneered another planet...surely anything that is thrown at us here we would be able to tackle.
The whole thing around IPCC, Kyoto, etc is all about the ability tax one of the most common elements in the universe CO2. It is about population control, taxes and socialism...it has very little to do with the environment if it did we would have harnessed nuclear power long ago and today the planet would have an abudance of good cheap clean power from nuclear sources.

They could be on to something there...why just the other week, the temperature here in Flagstaff rose 45 degF in just one 12hr period. We call it daytime...
The scientists are probably exchanging howling laughter emails at the moment:
“Ha, what a great headline, that oughta be worth another million in grants!”
“Yeah baby! I put that one together after looking at next year’s budget requirements”
“We need to be careful, we’d be toast if these emails ever leaked”
“BWAHAHAH, like that would ever happen!”
