Hey - you’re using parts per million (1/1,000,000) when discussing CO2. I believe that according to United Nations Article UN 123.654.32 one must ALWAYS refer to TONS (tonnes) of CO2.
I think that’s just for news releases and when you are discussing producing it. It’s otherwise allowed in secret emails between certifiable AWG scientists.
It could also happen with a pole to pole total global glaciation!
However, 1C = 1.8F on the scale, and we are talking about a scalar rise, not a temperature conversion.
Therefore, 6C RISE = 1.8 * 6 = 10.8F RISE; whereas 6C TEMEPRATURE = 42.8F TEMPERATURE.
Two separate problems, each with it own conversion

NOAA understands and predicts changes in the Earth's environment, from the depths of the ocean to the surface of the sun, and conserves and manages our coastal and marine resources.
We need a moon base established...either for conservatives to re-locate or a place to banish liberals :)

I’m not sure if you were joking with your “42.8 F” statement, but just incase you weren’t. 6 degrees C is the equivalent of 10.8 degrees F.
I think you may have forgotten that “0” Celcius is “32” Fahrenheit.
The scales meet at -40, and boiling in Celsius is 100, not 212.
I well remember our physics teacher in 12th grade explaining the difference between “degrees Fahrenheit” and “Fahrenheit degrees.” It would be good to recall his teachings.

I have thought that way for a LONG time, and agree with surfer. Not that we can control the climate obviously - but we CAN adapt to it. And PRIVATE industry will be the quickest to respond to whichever way the wind blows.
Not to say that government research is not also needed - but hard without the commie agenda. An old geologist friend (RIP) was concerned with global cooling for the past 20 years. He spent a lot of time doing research with a university in Sweden developing cold-weather crops. Obviously good now for Sweden, and perhaps for Nebraska in another 20 years. He was also involved in some world-wide seed storage vault - I think in Sweden as well. Good seeds in case something (fungus, diesease, etc.) happened to the world’s supply.
I imagine that others are doing similar things in looking at developing warm-weather strains of crops.
