When I was in college, I read a book that changed my life. It was Susan Brownmiller's tome, Against Our Will: Men, Women, and Rape, which explained rape as an act of power, not just lust. What I found particularly chilling was the chapter on war -- how rape is used to terrorize a population and destroy the enemy's spirit.
While edifying, the book magnified the vulnerability I already felt as a female. Fear of rape became a constant dread, and I sought a solution that would help shield me from danger.
The answer: seek safe harbor within the Democratic Party. I even became an activist for feminist causes, including violence against women. Liberalism would protect me from the big bad conservatives who wished me harm.

Glad you liked it.
You might want to look at some of Robin’s other articles on AT - they’re all very good.
Thanks....very good, indeed.
This essay nails the left’s abject hatred towards Palin as well as anything I’ve ever read on the subject.

Sandra Bernhard issued a blistering warning to Sarah Palin during a performance of her new one-woman show.
The Republican V.P. nom would be "gang-raped by my big black brothers" if she enters Manhattan, Bernhard said. Palin is said to be making a campaign stop in New York next week.
"[The gang rape comment] is part of a much larger, nuanced, and yes, provocative (that's what I do) piece from my show about racism, freedom, women's rights and the extreme views of Governor Sarah Palin, a woman who doesn't believe that other women should have the right to choose," Bernhard told the Daily News today.
Seven months after Election Day, and the attacks on Sarah Palin keep coming.
On Monday, CBS's David Letterman on the "Late Show" shamelessly went after the Alaska governor and her family during his opening monologue, as well as in his "Top Ten" list.
Top Ten Highlights Of Sarah Palin's Trip To New York
10. Visited New York landmarks she normally only sees from Alaska
9. Laughed at all the crazy-looking foreigners entering the U.N.
8. Made moose jerky on Rachael Ray
7. Keyed Tina Fey's car
6. After a wink and a nod, ended up with a kilo of crack
5. Made coat out of New York City rat pelts
4. Sat in for Kelly Ripa. Regis couldn't tell the difference.
3. Finally met one of those Jewish people Mel Gibson's always talking about
2. Bought makeup from Bloomingdale's to update her "slutty flight attendant" look
1. Especially enjoyed not appearing on Letterman
"One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez."
outstanding article.
A toughly-written article, but excellent and a required-read.
Palin's whole being emanates life, in stark contrast to the darkness of the left, the life despoilers.
These "progressives" are so alienated from the sacred that they perceive nothing as sacred. And they will destroy anyone whose goodness shines a mirror on their pathology. The spiritually barren must annihilate the vital and the fertile.
The Atlantic Magazine's Andrew Sullivan: "Sarah Palin's vagina is the font of all evil in the galaxy."
Sullivan is afraid of ALL vaginas.
The RATS embrace hypocrisy (i.e. I heard many "decent" women do the impossible to excuse Bill Clinton on things they would NEVER allow their husbands to do). That's hypocrisy.
CONSERVATIVES (and Social-Conservatives) FIGHT hypocrisy... even though we are guilty of it as well many times. But we fight it, we struggle with it. We know we have to aim high rather than in the opposite direction the DemoCraps try to lead us to: A sewer of a society without any morals whatsoever... just look at Hollywood... there!... The "poster of hypocrisy."

Why we love Sarah
Unless the rapist is Islamic, rape is not an act of “power”. If it was an act of power the rapist wouldn’t be using his PENIS!!!!
In the movie "High Plains Drifter" As Clint Eastwood leaves the woman he spent the night with, she says "Be careful, you're a man who makes people afraid and that's dangerous". To this, Eastwood replies, "Well, it's what people know about themselves that makes them afraid".
I don't know who wrote that line, but I think it is quite accurate. This could easily apply to Sarah Palin and how she makes Liberals afraid. It IS about themselves, what they know about themselves and and how Gov Palin turns it on its ear.
I read earlier, in a thread that got pulled that the comments were almost better than the article, itself, and I'd been unable to locate the comment section on that website.

I so appreciate the link to the American Thinker COMMENTS for this article, thank you again!!
QUESTION: Just why would America want this pathetic characature of a human being to become a U.S. CITIZEN???
Thank you for the tip, it is always good to read work from someone who has come to their senses ; )
