Will Pentagon purge Oath Keepers?
Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 23 November, 2009 | David Codrea

Posted on 11/24/2009 4:07:52 AM PST by marktwain

St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner Kurt Hofmann speculates on potential consequences for a group of current and retired military and law enforcement personnel who believe their oath to the Constitution should have bearing on their professional conduct. In today's column, he asks "Will Pentagon try to crush Oath Keepers?"

The immediate basis for Hofmann's concern is a report following up on the Fort Hood shootings:

The Pentagon may reconsider rules governing participation in extremist organizations that some lawmakers say appear outdated and too narrow in light of the shooting rampage at the Army base in Texas.

Some have been following attempts to tar Constitutionalists as extremists for years. And some of us have repeated the warnings when we saw renewed smears. We raised concerns when we saw the infamous Department of Homeland Security report single out not just Constitutionalists for special scrutiny, but saw our government issue strident warnings such as:

The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.

And we have not stood by silently when we saw some try to publicly affiliate Oath Keepers with "white supremacists, anti-Semites, nativists...and a range of other activists of the radical right [that] are cross-pollinating and may even be coalescing."

We know that domestic enemies have taken over when the government considers purging the military of those who take their oath of office seriously.

If politicians are admitting their “oath” of office was a lie is that not grounds for impeachment? They are taking an oath, similar to taking an oath in a court of law. Is it not the same as perjury?

they’ll purge the Oath Keepers but keep the jihadist, because “diversity” is the prime directive from the Pentagon, CIC, and anybody that wants their star or stars.

Our young men and women are left with their asses flapping in the wind in Afghanistan with ridiculous rules of engagement and if they make it home alive and re-enter society they're to be viewed as a possible terrorist threat?!

A sorry bunch of son's of bitches.

Obviously, after a vicious murder by a faithful follower of a middle eastern hate group, the army is going to clamp down on Christian organizations and organizations that support the family.
Makes sense - to the warped, cracked thinking apparatus called the liberal mind.

“...Kurt Hofmann speculates...”

There is a surfeit of speculation and a paucity of facts.

I totally agree.
We need actual action not rhetoric.
When do we hit DC? Best done when Congress is all in session.

Lip Service??? Do you consider the oath you (maybe) took to be lip service??
The Oath Keepers 10 items of pledge state orders that are not constitutional that we will NOT obey!
If you want action Oath Keepers is it. What could be deemed more useful when given an unconstitutional order? Staging a march on DC OR refusing to obey orders that could disarm the American populace?
Lip Service??!! That was pretty da*m offensive! Or do you not know what is involved in disobeying a direct order?

" The Pentagon may reconsider rules governing participation in extremist organizations that some lawmakers say appear outdated and too narrow in light of the shooting rampage at the Army base in Texas.

"Current "rules prohibit membership or participation in 'organizations that espouse supremacist causes,' seek to discriminate based on race, religion or other factors or advocate force or violence. Commanders can investigate and can discipline or fire people who 'actively participate in such groups.'"

Well this clearly applies to islam but I'm guarantee it will never be applied.

I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said “Diversity is our Strength.”

While we are a melting pot, only certain ingredients can go in the stew that is America.

Using a stew analogy, English are the stock, Irish is the beef, Italians are the meat, and blacks are the spices.

Other ingredients are going to just ruin the stew and turn it to sh*t.

Muslims, for example, are turds in the stew. Illegal immigrants, and other immigrants who refuse to adapt to our culture are various other types of waste.

For what it’s worth, “diversity” seems to be a major cause of our problems.

Look at the world. The most homogenous countries tend to have the least crime...and the most “diverse” tend to be hellholes.
