Bob J Poll: Huckabee Supporters - Now that Huck is WillyHortonified, Will Your Vote go to Sarah?
11-30-09 | Bob J

I think it is a good Q. Huck was polling at least 8-10% of GOP voters, it's interesting to know whether those votes now go to the other evangelical Sarah, someone else or whether it puts Hucksters in the undecided column!

Huck’s problems will only help Palin.

Yes, Huck may be damaged goods.

But I would bet that the leftwing media will try to push another Huck-type candidate who would split off some of the conservative vote, to the benefit of Mitt.

Back in Sep. 2008 the media push made Huck. They would try it again.

if there as one person I would want in my foxhole, he’s the guy.

If there's one person I would want in my foxhole, it's Sarah, 'cause I ain't gay.

Didn’t Willie Norton play for the Dodgers?

Imagine the confusion if Norton was Horton.

"Because making money is more important the serving out my full, duly elected term as Governor of the GREAT State of Alaska"

I see you've still got your fingers in your ears pushing that lie.

Along with the discredited Univision crap.

Please be honest. You are out and out insulting those of us who support Sarah Palin--your definitions cover both extremes, but not those of us in the middle--that would be the majority of her supporters. You hate her, obviously. That's your right. We like her. A lot. That's OUR right. And never the twain shall meet... Urban Dictionary's liberal definition of 'palinista' here, shocker, your definitions would fit right in with them, go figure!

Was never interested in voting for Schmuckabee. Another Big Govt “compassionate conservative” like Bush, who panders to the religious Right, and many still fall for it.

Thank you, onyx. I don’t worship Sarah by any means, but I listen to her story and I feel that she is speaking aloud the things that *I* believe about life’s journey, politics/conservatism, family, etc. I’ve always looked at politicians as people above me in society’s castes—elitists, snobbish, looking down their noses at those of us who are ‘commoners’-but with Sarah, I see a fellow mom that I could sit down at a kitchen table with, drinking coffee or tea, while our little ones toddled around the room jabbering and playing, while my Maya played Nintendo DS games with Piper on the couch while watching I-Carly or some other silly Disney program...I feel like she is one of
MY friends, one of MY family, and I’ve never felt that way about ANY politician in my entire 48 years...do I think she hung the moon? No. Do I think she’s flawless and has never messed up in her life. No. Do I think at this moment in time she may be the best hope for America to turn back to the ways things SHOULD be instead of this bizarro world Obama’s rushed us headlong into? YES. YES. A thousand times, YES.

At this time, if the election were today, Sarah Palin has my vote. And there’s millions more JUST LIKE ME.

Think about that, as you and the MSM continue your attacks on her. Only God knows what the future holds for this lady, but after seeing the incredible success she’s having with her book and book tour, I think you and the MSM are sounding more and more ‘sour grapish’—you know what I mean.

You guys at the DNC are pretty upset to see Conservatives display such passion for a candidate.

It is funny you say that you would want Cheney in a foxhole with you. I think Cheney needs to learn somethings about muzzle orientation before I would want him in my foxhole. By the way I will have to begrudgingly support Sarah now that the Huckster is out of the way.

Sarah is the only lioness from the pride striking at the hyenas who are gorging on the kill (Republic). After eight years of feeding, no large male lion has gotten hungry enough to engage as she has, but then, she's got cubs to feed.

The hyena who went after one of her cubs took the full measure of her counter-attack and spent the night wailing in pain- an apology of sorts. She makes them nervous and most pause in their feasting to look around for this 'lone' lioness. And they should. She was able to strike their leader as he ravaged on Health Care with claws sharpened on Death Panels.

None of this has gone un-noticed by the pride and she's gaining support. Some may doubt if she can lead a united attack to reclaim the kill as she doesn't wear a mane, but few doubt her ferocity.

And for good reason: it's never happened before. A lioness hasn't led a charge against the hyenas, but a 'spotted' male hyena was first to lead them to success over the kill. Fancy that.

A big strong Alpha male may rise to the occassion and lead the pride toward re-claiming the kill. Or he may not. Fortunately, in this world, hyenas may morph into lions when they become disillusioned by unemployment, forclosure, and the perception that foreign jackals (Iran, Korea, etc.) may pose even greater threats to the Republic than the pride of lions.

For many, the thought of following Sarah (or any female for that matter) into a battle to reclaim the Republic would be a tectonic change in male-female relationships that could have devastating consequences by disrupting a delicate balance between the sexes that has existed for ages. Not true.

Women can fight, but men usually fight harder due to their size and strength. When a man is distracted a woman may have to rely on her instincts, strengths, and abilities to protect herself or her family. Our media and PC culture has distracted and shaved the 'manes' from our otherwise alpha males. For the most part, they have been neutered by 'correctness' or 'compassion', or whatever.

Sarah's outwardness brings a new perspective to the fight for the Republic. Her need to feed her cubs gives her strength and ambition. Many will identify with her intincts and many, both male and female, will coalese behind her for the same reason.

Liberty and freedom were two forces that traditionally kept the hyenas at bay but have fallen into disfavor. Young liberty cubs and young freedom cubs will be watching to see if anyone will prevent them from inheriting Obama debt they'll never be able to shoulder.

Reclaiming the kill (Republic) will be one major task. It'll have to be dragged to safety, to the mountain top, the mountain top that Martin Luther King Jr. spoke of in his dream of all men being equal, and to the shining city on the hill that Ronald Reagan spoke of. I frankly don't care who leads the effort- Sarah or somebody else- but this is what we must do to preserve what we must and leave something of value to our children and grandchildren. Looks like it's all up-hill from here.
