Voters have every right to ask candidates for information if they so choose. I’ve pointed out that it was seemingly fair game during the 2008 election for many on the left to badger my doctor and lawyer for proof that Trig is in fact my child. Conspiracy-minded reporters and voters had a right to ask... which they have repeatedly. But at no point – not during the campaign, and not during recent interviews – have I asked the president to produce his birth certificate or suggested that he was not born in the United States.
Show me a poll where “birth certificate” is listed as an issue?
You're quite correct, because no matter what Romney or Huckabee post on Facebook or anywhere else, they have demonstrated that they are RINOs or worse.

Of course all this is about the lack of transparency on everything Obama, and the media unwillingness to do anything about it.
Palin has expressed that frustration, the frustration of a large number of citizens that the press dismisses. he has a good point.

Notice all the attention she is getting from her posting at ‘Facebook’. She IS good...she has circumvented the media that despises her to get her message out to the people. She has more followers on ‘Facebook’ than MSNBC or CNN has viewers. Wow.
Obama’s birth certificate is directly related to national security. If we can’t uphold our Constituion, then we are already defeated.

And this is true- she never did say those things.
She is going to be walking the fine line on this- keeping the issue of production of the long form alive, but not suggesting that it will prove he was not born here. Let the document be produced and let the chips fall where they may.
This is the most important distinction, and one I have tried to make in my discussions with people. I am not convinced at all as to where he was born, and I dont speculate what the real BC says. But I am convinced that he has concealed and failed to produce that document for public consumption. And that is the undisputable truth.

The simple, undeniable fact remains: Barack Hussein Obama has not released his birth certificate.
As a matter of fact, he hasn’t released ANY of his “pertinent” records, whether they be medical records, student records, travel records, etc.
I agree with you though that Palin was probably prudent to stay away from the issue, at least from a political point of view.
But I can’t help asking myself why doesn’t Obama release his records, especially his birth certificate?
And the only answer I can come up with is that he has something to hide.

I am amazed at how everyone follows the MSM name for things. Homophobe was the first and it is a meaningless made up word, like truthers, birthers, to me these names are meaningless, but they do give the MSM power over the words used...Swiftboaters were callers of truth about Kerry, now it has become an insult...thanks to the MSM.

I had some VERY good discussions with several folks over in the comments at FB last night/early this morning, and after a while I could see where they were coming from, and why I was perhaps wrong in my initial feelings on this statement. I only wish she would’ve worded it a little differently so as to not give the liberals more ammunition against us, but at this point I think ANYTHING she says is going to be twisted.
I will say that I also had some fun arguing about the BC issue as well with the libs who come to her page to try to demoralize her supporters. Met a few new friendly conservatives as well! All in all, it was a good night — just wish I had gotten more sleep! LOL
Thanks again! There is no way I will STOP supporting Palin, and I’m old enough (and experienced enough in politics now to understand) that I will not always agree with everything she says or does. However, I do STILL believe she is our best hope going forward...
That last sentence there is a gem, GG! It’s SO true! I honestly don’t think they employ editors anymore at ANY news publications... Maybe those were the first positions to go... OK, scratch that — they were probably the SECOND positions to go. I think the Fact-Checkers were booted out the door first! LOL
