The people doing this is Obama and his Ilk..It is time we stood up and took names and get rid of these terrorist in the white house..I and many others are getting very sick of what is going on..Maybe it is time for the people to take these trials into their own hands and convict the terrorist not let Washington let them go..

Why are we letting them bring charges against our service men who are out there protecting our country and our lives?I say impeach Obama,Pelosi,Reed and and as far as I am concerned let the idiot Biden take over..It could not be any worse than what we got..At least Joe Biden was born in America..

I posted this reply on another of the many threads addressing this subject.

"Only a person in their chain-of-command can initiate action under the UCMJ. I am trying to ascertain who that was or which unit the person commanded. As someone pointed out, this could have been handled with a non-permanent letter of reprimand which would not have had any professional impact......"

I have yet to find a source for the info [underlined above]. Do you have any details?

It's curious to me that the convening officer isn't their former SEAL team leader or CO of the team unit; that authority has been passed off to Maj Gen Cleveland at CENTCOM. Hmmm....makes me think this is just a political brouhaha.

Let's look into 'unlawful command influence' next.

Any chance that the lower command levels ‘punted’ on this? Or did the SEALs waive hearings at the lower levels? Truly, I have no clue as to how this type of thing works.

Notice how our officials are REALLY doing all they can to prosecute and put in jail normal people, while they happily sing and crow about how innocent and misunderstood the jihadis are.

1 other thing that I read about this a couple of days back... 3 other SEALs were listed as witnesses. 1 of the 3 was an officer, and so might have been the Team Leader. Perhaps this is part of the reason why the case is starting at such an unusually high command level?

Your point is? They also said that they did not harm him.
I believe them. You believe who you choose. If they had chosen Captain’s Mast, they would have to admit to doing things they did not do. They are being railroaded.

Thanks for posting this and thanks for your lists of ways we can help.

By the way, has Savage weighed in on this yet? He was a great defender of the Haditha Marines.

No one knows what the witnesses actually said yet. The terrorist is the one complaining and he's getting all the attention.

I'm not an authority on this stuff either but have a reliable source for skinny on the UCMJ protocols and procedures.

I wanna know who the commanding General is who ordered the charges? He is a scum of the earth careerist instead of a patriot. This would be like charging my grandfather with murder after he shot a concentration camp guard while with Patton’s Third Army. Nonsense! Instead of being charged, grandpa received a handful of medals for his WWII exploits, including 5 battle ribbons. We never knew of this until just before he died of cancer 10 years ago. Good Lord. Look how far this country has fallen. The Tree of liberty needs to be watered!

They’re SEALs...not CIA agents. If I were them I would not go looking to beat up some worthless JAG officers unless they want more time added to their sentence.

It sounds to me like half the SEAL platoon noticed the terrorist's split lip when questioned while the ones that did not are under suspicion for having inflicted it. Just my guess.

identify the people responsible for pushing this prosecution forward and remove them from any post or office of responsibility or power immediately. They have shown themselves to be totally unfit.

Now THAT I believe. Can’t kill 0bama’s ‘brothers-in-arms’

Good point! That could another ramification. However, if they’re willing to prosecute a bloody lip, they’ll for sure start investigating the lack of prisoners.

Don't know the details of a 'snatch' op by SEALs but not all were in the immediate area at the time of the snatch.

Seems to me this affair is payback against the SEALs, directed from the top, for the Maersk Alabama rescue.

Insha'Allah!
