Birth control leader Margaret Sanger: Darwinist, racist and eugenicist
Journal of Creation ^ | Jerry Bergman, Ph.D.

Posted on 12/06/2009 3:25:47 PM PST by GodGunsGuts

Margaret Sanger was the founder of Planned Parenthood, the leading organization advocating abortion in the United States today. Darwinism had a profound influence on her thinking, including her conversion to, and active support of, eugenics. She was specifically concerned with reducing the population of the ‘less fit’, including ‘inferior races’ such as ‘Negroes’. One major result of her lifelong work was to support the sexual revolution that has radically changed our society...

Are you THAT intellectually dishonest? Rhetorical quesiton...

In no way did I equate an inanimate object to a scientific theory.....you just need that to be the truth so you can toss around your asinine “you must be a liberal” label.

In EVERY WAY did I equate someone with nefarious intentions mal-using something....with someone else with nefarious intentions mal-using something else.

Got brain? Also a rhetorical question....

Yes you did:

Oops, forgot to deal with your sheer lack of mental ability.

Blaming the ToE for the malevolent use of the theory by people with nefarious ideas and practices is the same as blaming the inventor of gunpowder for all malevolent use of gunpowder by those with nefarious ideas and practices.

The real answer you should give is that youre too freakin stupid to understand that....but I’m sure you’ll just call this gun owning conservative voting and living American.....a liberal....again.

Suppose you’re so conservative that you voted for liberal W. Wouldn’t be surprised if that large government lib thought Man lived with the dinosaurs 4532 years ag too.

For starters, I never equated evolution with anything, I was talking about eugenics and I have pointed out several times that your analogy is FALSE because ideologies CAN be blamed for results.

In EVERY WAY did I equate someone with nefarious intentions mal-using something....with someone else with nefarious intentions mal-using something else.

However, you have yet to demonstrate a single instance where I have done this.

Got brain? Also a rhetorical question....

Which makes it even more absurd.

The article has EVERYTHING to do with evolution and attaching evolution to every known “bad” thing in history.

Is that like the evolutionists propensity to attaching religion to every known “bad” thing in history?

The ToE had been used as a weapon with which to bludgeon Christianity with since it's inception. It's the perfect ideological tool for those who wish to reject God and religion. That is a misuse of something scientific in nature.

OTOH, the resounding silence from those scientists and evolutionists who ought to be speaking out about such misuse, absolutely makes them complicate in such misuse. They lend their support to liberal, God hating groups as the NEA and ACLU in their use of the ToE to eradicate God from the classroom. They excuse and deny the role that the ToE has played in some of the atrocities perpetrated in its name, either my countries or individuals who freely admit being influenced by it. The whole history of the ToE and Darwinism is tainted with eugenics and racism. Then the defenders of the ToE turn around and attack anyone who points out the what is patently obvious to everyone else.

Evolutionists gain no credibility or respect from anyone by their essentially plugging their fingers in their ears and singing *La, la, la, I can't heeeaaar you.....* Evolutionists need to learn to distinguish between the THEORY of evolution as a scientific theory, and Darwinism- the ideology.

In supporting the ToE- the scientific theory, they too often and easily cross the line to Darwinism, the ideology.

The article has EVERYTHING to do with evolution and attaching evolution to every known “bad” thing in history.

Look, ideas have consequences. It's one thing to babble on like an idiot about "blaming the inventor of gunpowder for all the malevolent uses of gunpowder since then," it's quite another to recognise that evolution, especially as formulated by Darwin, readily and specifically lends itself to notions like eugenics and racism. Shoot, that's basically what the whole philosophy is about - survival of the fittest in nature is about naturalistic eugenics, the most fit specimens in their environment are the ones which survive, they are the ones which are most eu genos, "good gened", so to speak. The theory is ready made to apply to things like saying that "Negroes" are less evolved with white men, since whites have "obviously" adapted to man's environments better. There's no need to draw any silly moral equivalence arguments with gunpowder, since we're talking about two entirely different classes of correlation.

Look, if you're going to stump for idiocy like evolution, at least man up and face its consequences.

not defending Sanger but EVERYONE was racist back then by today’s puffy self gratifying arrogance.

That is such a common tendency for people today to engage in. There is the CONSTANT applying of today's standards of thinking and morals to people in different cultures and from different times and then condemning them for not thinking like we do. Some of the views held by those were taught as fact. Not that excuses people like her. It's not hard to realize that abortion is murder, especially in a culture where the baby was presumed to be alive from conception instead of the mental gymnastics people go through these days to state that it's not in order to justify abortion. (See- Pleading the belly.)

Interestingly, the most anti-racist thinking would be found in and supported by Scripture where it says,......Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

And....Colossians 3:11 Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

Totally revolutionary thinking for those days.

Is that like the evolutionists propensity to attaching religion to every known “bad” thing in history?

As I HAVE no such propensity......no further reading of your rant is necessary....but I will for the humor.

The ToE had been used as a weapon with which to bludgeon Christianity with since it's inception.

Riiiiiiiight... Got martyrdom complex?

It's the perfect ideological tool for those who wish to reject God and religion.

It's the perfect tool for those that want to understand speciation from a scientific POV.

That is a misuse of something scientific in nature.

So now evolution is something "SCIENTIFIC IN NATURE??????????"

...I'll remember you said that.

OTOH, the resounding silence from those scientists and evolutionists who ought to be speaking out about such misuse, absolutely makes them complicate in such misuse.

OTOH, this is illogical LUNACY! Lack of speaking out in the negative will never equal affirmation of the positive. If I don't go running around speaking out against abortion, that doesn't mean I am pro-abortion. If I don't go running around speaking out against every piece of scientific fraud, that doesn't mean i am pro-scientific fraud. Well, in Absurdistan it does....

They lend their support to liberal, God hating groups as the NEA and ACLU in their use of the ToE to eradicate God from the classroom.

Liberal...check...God-hating....check....lumping all scientists in with the FEW that are outspoken.....check. .....an I call BULLSHi'ite......how many times "we" gotta say it. Teaching religion is FINE AND DANDY "in the classroom"....so long as it is not a SCIENCE classroom. Got it this time or will you dredge up that nonsense every day? Rhetorical question....you are incapable of absorbing new information.

They excuse and deny the role that the ToE has played in some of the atrocities perpetrated in its name, either my countries or individuals who freely admit being influenced by it.

Nonsense. Hitler did not kill millions of Jews and others "in the name of evolution".....nobody has committed atrocities "in the name of evolution." BUT, you've gotta blame everything on evolution...so blame away...speaking of killing "in the name of....."

Then the defenders of the ToE turn around and attack anyone who points out the what is patently obvious to everyone else.

Wow...claiming to represent the opinion of "everyone else" is LUDICROUS. Go on...ask "everyone else" what made hitler commit genocide.....and see how many say "Well, d'uh, evolution did it." Hint: it's a ludicrous road....but go ahead and travel it all you want...lots of people believ elots of crazy things.

Evolutionists gain no credibility or respect from anyone by their essentially plugging their fingers in their ears and singing *La, la, la, I can't heeeaaar you.....*

...because evolutionists, of course, MUST heed to EVERY demand of and seek accreditation from those that believe Man lived with meat eating dinosaurs.

Evolutionists need to learn to distinguish between the THEORY of evolution as a scientific theory, and Darwinism- the ideology.

"Evolutionists" need to stick to science and leave the sociology to someone else. Yes, "evolution as a scientific theory" is not the same as someone mal-using the scientific theory in a social experiment.

In supporting the ToE- the scientific theory, they too often and easily cross the line to Darwinism, the ideology.

No, they don't. There are those that play in the science world....and those that use things for nefarious purposes outside of the science world. I will never equate the 2 as you do.

...but thanks for the laugh.

....and, again, in no way is that equating an inanimate object with a scientific theory.....or ideology, as you'd have it.

It is equating the mal-use of something with the mal-use of something.....the key being the mal-use, not the something. Got comprehension? Or were you feeding Dino?

Yes, you sure did, Wilbur.....and it is SITLL not equating an inanimate object with an ideology. It is equating the mal-use of something with the mal-use of something else. Key term being the mal-use, not the "something."

Gotta go feed Dino....

Remove the brain plugs. That is equating the mal-use of something with the mal-use of something else. What the 2 somethings are IS FRIGGIN' IRRELEVANT. What is relevant is the MAL-USE FOR NEFARIOUS PURPOSES....and in each instance, do you blame the originator of each "something?"

I cannot shake my head any more.....but GREAT job trying to steer.

That is because YOU think I'm discussing evolution when the reality is that I am discussing Darwinism and specifically eugenics.

I'll make it really simple for you:

Can the ideology of eugenics be held respsonsible for the deaths that have resulted from it? YES or NO

If the answer to the above is yes, can those responsible for the ideology also be held responsible? YES or NO

Evolutionists seem to be incapable of stepping outside of themselves and taking an objective look at what is being said.

They are so knee jerk defensive about the ToE, that they can’t separate it out from anything but religion, Christianity in particular.

If someone came on here and suggested that Karl Marx was totally blameless for the destruction of communism they would be banned immediately.

Eugenic Darwinism is DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for OVER ONE BILLION DEATHS worldwide in the last century. The death tolls of communism, Nazism and Islamofascism do not even begin to approach that of eugenic Darwinism.

The blind allegiance that some evolutionist have to the Darwin family would be like someone who loves highways excusing the Holocaust because the Nazis also built much of the autobahn.
