"I did say 'Michelle Obama is not another Jackie Kennedy and I do not consider to be a style icon.'(sic) But in addition, I also said 'She has so much more to her and has mass appeal. I admire her as a role model and think she will achieve great things in her position as First Lady.' And by the way, I voted for Obama."

That Hannant would provoke "gasps" for speaking the truth and then have to issue a clarification to protect his career says something scary about America in the Obama era.

I agree totally.
She can look nice. But being told constantly that she is beautiful and is a “fashion icon” makes me ill.
She reminds me of me. I have my good days and bad days. The pity of it is, I’m buying her clothes, her hairdresser, her makeup artist and when I see how they make her look, I know that I could do a better job with it. Even going to Walmart.
Personally, I’d dress her like a black woman. It would be a huge improvement.
What the desperate liberals are overlooking in their comparison to Jackie O is that she was not just a clothes horse. Yes, she was young, vibrant and had such a lovely figure that she could wear popular styles very well. However what made her *her* was her grace. That is something that is so lacking it is laughable in comparing Michelle O to Jackie O. The only thing they have in common is the last initial in their name.
For that matter, Hillary was much more stylish than Michelle in my opinion. While recognizing she was a witch, I thought she looked lovely in the early 90’s before she cut all her hair off. (Don’t shoot me!)

I don't know ... I mean, I always thought Mrs. Wee Wee has always had that certain sort of fashion chic.
Thank God there is a least one honest person left!
Her sense of tsate is mostly in her mouth. Many of the outfits she wears look like they came from the Little Shop of Horrors, or a Halloween costume shop.
For anyone to compare her to Jackie O is to denigrate Jackie O.
“She walks like a plow horse”. That’s probably because she is as big as one. She’s almost as tall as her skinny husband and I would bet outweighs him by a bunch. Jackie was thin, elegant and charming. I saw Michelle walking with Obama at the Nobel awards this morning and she had a rather snug gown and I was struck at how big she really is.
To make that happen, you're going to need this guy...
