Two of the four leaders allegedly behind the al Qaeda plot to blow up a Northwest Airlines passenger jet over Detroit were released by the U.S. from the Guantanamo prison in November, 2007, according to American officials and Department of Defense documents.
American officials agreed to send the two terrorists to Saudi Arabia where they entered into an “art therapy rehabilitation program” and were set free, according to U.S. and Saudi officials.
Gee, who would have expected “art therapy” to fail on terrorists?

Attorney General Letter to Senators on Detention, Interrogation of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab
Attorney General Eric Holder sent a letter today to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. An identical copy was sent to Senators Bond, Coburn, Collins, Cornyn, Graham, Grassley, Hatch, Kyl, McCain and Sessions, each of whom had written the Attorney General requesting information on the detention and interrogation of Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.

“Terrorists develop ‘suicide underwear’”

SNIPPET: “RAWALPINDI: Would-be suicide bombers could be using explosives “underwear briefs” rather than explosives jackets to evade “conservative” body searches, sources said on Wednesday.
Sihala Police College forensic lab sources told Daily Times that the study of recent suicide attacks showed that suicide bombers used “explosives-laden” under-garments, briefs in particular, to carry out the attacks.
The sources said that the explosives could weigh between five kilogrammes to seven kilogrammes, made deadly by adding glass splinters, metal ball bearings and bullets. The law enforcers normally search upper body parts sparing the “privates”, the sources said, hence assailants are increasingly using the lower body parts to dodge the searches.”
