N doubt that there isn’t a writer in existence that I cannot find something they wrote that I will disagree with.
Likewise, there are some I mostly ignore that have positions I occasionally agree with.
But, when someone comes along and his main thrust is to weaken our National Defenses during a time we have been under attack for decades, he doesn’t get ignored, he and any who fall into his cult must be countered.
lets discuss what the man says and what he stands for
not who sent him some money
i sent money to Free Republic, i do it often
but i do not agree with everything Jim Rob says
and i am sure he does not agree with everything i say
so lets talk about issues and ideas
ok?
IBTZ??
Hey! watch it, buster. I resemble that remark! I'm not a neo-con. I'm a paleo-con, buster
He's a Manchurian Mole......
Yep, that's what they say about me, although the usually just short-hand it to "long-winded". But I know what they mean.
:-)
Hey, they don’t care. The crowd that uses the term “neo-con” as a pejorative would stick you on a boxcar bound for the death camps without taking all that good a look.
So we hanged the President of Iraq and kissed the butt of the King of Saudi Arabia. The irony and hypocrisy is not lost on the American Public. The trust factor has diminished among the people of this Nation toward their government...no matter which stripe it shows at a time.
When I joined this site in 1998...Nation Building was frowned upon and condemned as in the Balkins ect. There have been changes in the focus of FR over the years. More partisan politics and less conservative philosophy.
Now Jones has come out with criticism of Obama and he's been on the show just three times since January 2009, I believe. All three times for short segments (five minutes or so). One of the appearances was to be scolded by an angry Noory for making Obama look bad.
What's the big deal about Jones? He claimed (on C2CAM) that he feared Michelle Malkin and that's why he attacked her in Denver at the Democratic party convention. Jones was responding (on C2CAM) to criticism by people who did not like the way he confronted Ms Malkin.
They recommend DU over FR. You can’t make this stuff up.
Neocon: a conservative who doesn’t hate Jews.
PS: Original Dissent is a white racialist forum.
I never thought of ridiculing him until he went after Michelle Malkin and later tried to 'splain himself to Noory.
A search for, "alex jones" "michelle malkin" noory
finds utube videos of Jones confronting Malkin. I have dial-up and have not seen them. I did hear the audio on George Noory's CoastToCoastAM.
Noory scolded Jones for his behavior. This was shortly after the Dem convention in Denver. I listened to the show that night.
Prior to this I just listened to Jones go after Bush, he was a virtual co-host with Noory he was on so often. Jones always had one thing or another on Bush and the international secret groups pulling the strings.
But after Jones at first admitted that he had gone overboard with Malkin he wound up blaming her! -- virtually saying that she threatened him. He claimed that she was accompanied by a mob of thugs shouting threats at him.
More recently Noory got angry with Jones, who rarely appears on the show now that Bush is gone, because Jones had posted a bogus interview with Obama -- er excuse me, Noory insists that everyone call him President Obama.
The next night Jones was invited on the show to explain himself. He said that yes there should have been a disclaimer but technical problems truncated it. He also blamed "over work" then went back to blaming technical problems.
I got no use for the guy anymore. Noory rarely mentions him now that Jones is zeroing in on Ob.. er, President Obama.
I will suggest however that some of the stuff Jones comes up with could have merit.
Dear Rush,
Thank you for scrubbing the stench of prisonplanet from your website and archives.
Dear Jim Thompson,
Thank you for keeping FR free of stormfronters and black helicopters.
Now before any fellow FReeper thinks he has to angrily remind me that all of these people were preferable to the Communists--I agree! That's not the point, okay? The point is that none of these foreign palaeocon heroes were Jeffersonians, localists, minarchists, anarcho-capitalists, or libertarians. Not a one. Yet the same people/groups who oppose the very idea that the United States of America is a nation rather than a loose league of independent states regard these people as its heroes.
As a matter of fact, my beef isn't so much with the foreign dictators as with the hypocrites who apologize for them while saying the everyone who doesn't interpret the Constitution the same way Ron Paul does (and Alexander Hamilton, one of the men who was a member of the Convention that wrote the Constitution, obviously did not) is a "Communist who doesn't realize it."
Coming soon to your local American Opinion Bookstore: the Biography of Marshal Petain sold together with The State by Frederic Bastiat!
He’s a very confused soul but is motivated by a sincere sense of patriotism. He’s convinced that Malkin is part of the one world order cabal. I agree his behavior there was well into jackass territory but I don’t think he’s fundamentally a jackass.
