Thanks, Berg! I thought I’d heard on a news program this morning that Zero wanted to do this.

IF this ends up being a lawsuit (either preplanned or after the fact), bring it on... I’d like to see treatment of the flying imams that led to their being able to bring suit revisited.

We PAID them, apologized to them, and emboldened others to engage in similar behavior — again, that’s what happened in Airtran flight 297 from Atlanta just after Ft. Hood and before T’giving and United flight 227 in DIA on 12/09/09.

As I understand it (need to look into it more), congregating in the aisles and hanging out in the bathrooms (not sure how this is enforced, lol) is already AGAINST airline regulations!

He may be in custody, but that does NOT mean he has been arrested.

Although Ms. Napolitano said it would be “inappropriate to speculate” on such ties, a law enforcement official briefed on the investigation over the weekend said that the claims of the suspect, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, were plausible, and that he saw no reason to discount Mr. Abdulmutallab’s account that he had obtained explosive chemicals and a syringe sewn into his underwear from a bomb expert in Yemen associated with Al Qaeda.

Asked if Mr. Abdulmutallab was part of a bigger plot or whether he was a “lone wolf,” Ms. Napolitano replied, “Well, right now, we have no indication that it’s part of anything larger, but obviously the investigation continues.”

It’s also the only major airport I can name, with an approach in foreign airspace, an easy route in and out of that foreign country on the ground, and is a major population center for sympathists. And, despite the ongoing and shameful obliteration of that city, it’s highly symbolic and emotionally charged. It’s Detroit.

Not sure why that might matter here, but it could. Is there another that fits this description? El Paso, San Diego? You’re not going to cross rapidly or even relatively unimpeded into Juarez or Tijuana. Not a center of Muslim immigrants, either.

Can you believe this?! I thought I was listening to Xmas day incident

DETROIT (AP) Detroit airport spokesman: Pilot of Northwest Airlines flight 253 requested emergency help.

CNN-Disruptive passenger prompts alert on a Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Detroit on Sunday, officials say.

WASHINGTON (AP) AP source: Incident on Detroit airliner leads to arrest of Nigerian man, now in custody.

Smells like BS!

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,581232,00.html?test=latestnews

The official says the passenger was taken into custody after becoming verbally disruptive on landing. Subsequent interviews by investigators determined he was a businessman who became ill during the flight.

A source confirmed this report to Fox News, saying the passenger was indeed sick and that the incident appears to be “a non-event at this point.”

A federal law enforcement official said the man, who was from Nigeria, was interviewed by authorities and the aircraft was swept. But the official said the incident was all an incredible coincidence.

A federal law enforcement official told Fox News that it “looks like a non-serious incident at this point. Early indications are that this person is not a threat.”

More info on what occurred during the flight from the Telegraph, Detroit terror attack: second Nigerian arrested on Amsterdam flight

..............."Before locking himself in to the toilet the man had already been up and down to the same cubicle several times. Cabin crew became increasingly suspicious, broke the door down and dragged him out. He is then said to have become irate and verbally aggressive.

He was subdued and the pilot contacted the airport to say there was an emergency on board. ..............

.............The passengers and crew were evacuated from the plane and the man was formally arrested. Officials said no explosive device had been found on the suspect.

The man had boarded the flight with no luggage. ...............

...................a senior US official told Fox News that the man arrested on Sunday was simply a “sick passenger”. "...............

Oh, my, just a sick passenger. Wait a minute, the other dude did the same thing.....spend lots of time in the can, then complain of being sick. Hmmmmm.

Curious as to what security will be like.....

At the receiving end, I would suspect that time allowed to sit and wait with a vehicle would be the only concern.

Wow, I would have been worried that he might have Ebola or H1N1. Wonder if they are even checking that possibility out.
