It's the people, stupid
NY Post ^ | December 31, 2009 | Editorial

That was quite a revealing -- and understandable -- public tantrum President Obama threw Tuesday.

Understandable, because the president has every right to be livid over the "potentially catastrophic breach of security" that nearly saw a terrorist bring down an airliner with 289 people aboard.

And revealing, because perhaps Obama has come to understand that he does not enjoy as much control over intelligence matters as he might have imagined.

Also, that the Islamist threat to America won't be countered with mere words.

I’m starting to fear that this latest attack on an airline — and the subsequent bragging of groups in Yemen that more attacks are on the way — is a diversion. Diverting our attention from the BIG attack that is coming.

Tantrum? He sounded positively bloodless. Maybe if that airliner were filled with late-term abortion doctors then he’d get worked up.

Our CIA wasn’t helped much when he appointed the new DCI.

When he comes back from Hawaii, Zero will don a sweater and lecture us on American ‘malaise’ from the WH. Zero is a fool who will get many innocent Americans killed. It’ll be his fault, and no amount of democratic TV apologists will be able to blame GWB or anyone else. They’ll try, of course, but the American people are already enraged with Zero and his feckless crew. On the news: 8 brave CIA operatives murdered in Afghanistan by a suicide bomber. Unclear how the bomber was allowed on a forward CIA ops center. So, 8 more names on the wall. Thank you, Zero.

Unfortunately, I have come to the same conclusion. What if there were 30 or 100 of these “incidents” on one day? I tend to think that the five Imams, the sick Nigerian, smoke in the Philly stock exchange, the van in Times Square are
just “coincidences” that are being used to assess our responses.

He is acting like the typical brainwashed Muslim, soon he will have the dead fisheye stare, he will dare adventures at strip clubs and consuming alcohol, preparing himself to meet his 72 virgins.

If he stops off in Vegas on his way out from Hawaii I’m heading for a fall out shelter!

He needs to look in the mirror when he starts his accusations. It is his own narcissistic fault.

He failed. Again.

I fear that we have the most incompetent and corrupt administration in the history of our nation. Cheney is correct when he says you cannot pretend that there is no war on terror. From Napolitano's comment that the "system worked," to President Obama's statements in connection with the Ft. Hood massacre that we should wait...

It was the action of the passengers on the aircraft that saved 300 people from sure death. It was not Reid, Pelosi, the ACLU, or ACORN, or the TSA. As a people of a seriously dysfunctional government, we are in big trouble.

We are on our own!! This government is not going to protect The American people.

I have always believed that they infact want something to happen! I also believe they are willing to sacrifice American lives to further their agenda. They see the opportunity to take complete control in the aftermath of a large scale attack!

It explains alot and all the pieces fall into place
If you look at it from that perspective.

Anything’s possible, but this is certainly sufficient to get America irritated. Wonder what it would take to get Zero’s approval polling down into the teens?

Newt Gingrich is frequently wrong but one thing he said after 9-11 has proven out over the years. He said that the 9-11 attacks were the jihadists giving America their best shot and, if decent security measures were implemented, it was doubtful that they could repeat the 2001 attacks.

I think he was right. We have had no successful terror attacks since then in the US, though other countries have experienced them, and the cannon-fodder that AlQaida has used, such as the Shoe Bomber and the Undie Bomber, have shown themselves to be absurdly incompetent.

I could be wrong but I don’t see the likes of AlQaida being able to muster a major attack again unless Zer0 and the rest of the West decides to allow them to run wild again.

Zippy either enjoys humiliation or he is too dumb to realize when it is happening to him.

“They see the opportunity to take complete control in the aftermath of a large scale attack!”

They will not succeed, even in the chaotic aftermath, should such an attack take place. Our military still understands “we the People” and the oath they took to defend the country from the enemy, foreign and domestic.

One has to believe that the military leadership thinks less of this Pres and incompetent gov’t than we civilians do.

Do a websearch on EMP or electro magnetic pulse attack.

Have you ever heard of that?

They can do that now. We have no protection. It can be launched from a boat...and a successful attack can take out the powergrid throughout the entire USA. The parts of these grids are not made in this country. It takes them 3 years to make them if ordered.

In your wildest dreams, unless you have read about this, you cant imagine what life would be like here for 3 years with no electric or cars (which are run by computers).

No lights, no heat, no cars, no food deliveries, no banking, money becomes worthless, pumps wont work to put out fires, nor pump water. Gangs form, looting and stealing from individuals, food and anything else they can take. The majority of people in this country will die.

The government has been informed of this many times. It wouldnt cost much to prevent this from happening. Instead of acting, they order more studies.

Dont think you are safe. 9/11 is small potatoes compared to a successful EMP attack...and they are capable of doing this NOW.

After you do a websearch for EMP info, read this novel, free in pdf form. If this doesnt keep you awake nights, nothing will.

ElectroMagnetic Pulse

The islamics would love to destroy America.
North Korea would love to destroy America.

It’s very easy to imagine North Korea fitting a ship with a launcher and a nuclear-tipped medium range missile, then training an al queda crew to operate it.

It is plausible that such a ship and crew could sail to within 100 miles of the US coast and successfully launch the missile which would then explode a couple of hundred miles above the eastern US.

It would be the quickest and cheapest way to destroy the United States as a world power.
