“It won’t be a revolt, it will be a collapse”

You may be closer to the truth. But I don’t think Obama et al will be running off to Switzerland. This is about much more than money, it is about absolute power. They can have absolute power over a bankrupt world but as long as they are on top what does it matter?

Let’s hope not. Look how badly the French Revolution turned out.

Message to China. QUIT LOANING OUR GOVERNMENT MONEY.

Our government treats loans like an extension of charity. Does china really feel charitable to our government’s inability to quit borrowing and spending?

As a taxpayer, I INSIST CHINA QUIT LOANING OUR GOVERNMENT OPERATING MONEY!!

The money isn't the object, it is a conciliation prize. Gorbachev was in it for the power too. But when it became obvious that the choice was retire in luxury or to face the consequences of his misrule, he decided to have his fall from power land them in a luxury estate on the Black Sea. The only other option is that Obama is as big a narcissist as Sadam, (who had many opportunities to take the money and run) at which point his fall from power ends abruptly just above the floor.

I would not be too sure of that. The Milgram experiment has been revisited:

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE4BI0VQ20081219

“Some things never change. Scientists said on Friday they had replicated an experiment in which people obediently delivered painful shocks to others if encouraged to do so by authority figures....Seventy percent of volunteers continued to administer electrical shocks — or at least they believed they were doing so — even after an actor claimed they were painful...”

Seventy percent.

Let us also remember that those of our armed forces who read and understood their oath of office (and it appears that a great many more of them can do this than our congresscritters) - will simply refuse to do anything against the revolt.

I live in Alameda County and I noticed the only people who travel on BART these days look like public (government workers).

It could get ugly.

Yea, and we are about ready to light those fires back up on Secession Hill. (SEE tag line).
They, those in Washington, have compleatly lost their d!m minds. I can tell you this, that if the gov. wants a war then all they have to do is to keep on doing the bull$hit they are handing down now..
From S.C. down across through TX., when the final tally is taken,... WE the people (the whole South) will be handing them their a#ses. We weren't pi@sed off during the war between the states, we were just fighting. The world has never seen the like's of the whole South P.O.!!! Y'all may live long enough to see it..

Sadly I have to agree.

As more folks become worried about losing their jobs, either to an H1b visa holder or it being shipped to Asia, they'll welcome even more Fedgov power. Let's face it, going hungry isn't too chic right now.

The left knows that shared misery keeps the masses placated. If everyone you know is struggling, then most will accept that as the natural state of being. Americans, in general, are lazy and stupid. They won’t revolt as long as American Idol is on, and the malls are open.

Right you are. AS I have often said, "All the government has to do to keep the American people in line is make cable and flat screens "Constitutional Rights" and tell them that higher taxes on "The Rich" will pay for it.

At the point a bloody French style revolution does seem inevitable...Yet the on the surface of daily life all is peaceful, and the news from the Lamestream Media low key.

The quiet before the storm?

I have a bad feeling the crap is going to hit the fan starting next spring.

Why can’t we have a black guy that thinks like THIS as POTUS?

Because the liberal, socialist plantation blacks, rabidly hateful white liberal bigots & the media will crucify ANY black or hispanic or woman (white, black, hispanic, no matter) who actually is a CONSERVATIVE. Look at the vilifying of Sarah Palin, or GW Bush's nominees for Appeals courts, Janice Brown or Miguel Estrada. Or Clarence Thomas in the 1980's. The left is never so hateful & vicious as when they are attacking & vilifying any conservative who happens to be one of their designated socialist special interest groups.

LOL! No, there won’t be any revolt. ...metaphors, silly metaphors.

But if we each avoid unnecessary personal expenditures, become more self-sufficient and learn to produce something useful, we’ll see small government before too long. It’s time to save instead of borrowing, and take out the anti-social, corporate-government trash.

That’s positive thinking. Let’s put it into action.
