Dems To Bypass Tradition On Final Health Deal House, Senate negotiations to complete legislation will cut out Republicans

Jan. 4, 2010 WASHINGTON - House and Senate Democrats intend to bypass traditional procedures when they negotiate a final compromise on health care legislation, officials said Monday, a move that will exclude Republican lawmakers and reduce their ability to delay or force politically troubling votes in both houses.

The unofficial timetable calls for final passage of the measure to remake the nation's health care system by the time President Barack Obama delivers his State of the Union address, probably in early February.

Democratic aides said the final compromise talks would essentially be a three-way negotiation involving top Democrats in the House and Senate and the White House, a structure that gives unusual latitude to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California.

Here comes more surprise from the right.

These are communists who will have their way with this country.

They finally have their shot at it and they will not pass up the opportunity.

The only question for them is how to do it without you knowing/getting a clue/fighting back?

Until the right wakes up to realize some very, very bad people are at the helm then these communists will continue their destruction, and separating you from your property and freedom.

Americans seem to sense something is wrong, but they sure-as-hell haven’t accepted the fact that this is a dire emergency, perhaps the greatest threat the people of this country have ever faced.

You are exactly right. By totally boycotting the SotU, the GOP would make the plain and simple statement that this administration and Congress does not consider the loyal opposition consisting of the GOP and 54% of Americans who oppose govt-controlled health-care of any value whatsoever.

Dumbing-down in the schools, media indoctrination, multiculturalism, political correctness, the welfare dole, unions and addiction to TV (circuses, like the Romans) have all done their intended jobs. Most Americans are ready to become subjects and give up the burdens and responsibilities of being free citizens. We've forgotten who we are as a nation.

Actually, the GOP should attend, and then walk out after Joe Wilson again shouts out “YOU LIE” when Obama lies in the first few minutes of the speech. The speech will be given to the press ahead of time, so researching the lie, and making it stick, would be crucial to making this lasting image stand.

It won't happen, but I can dream, right?

WRONG! The Dems would just fill their empty seats with more people to clap and cheer.

What the Republicans should do is attend and boo loudly whenever the Dems are cheering, shout "You lie," and sit with thumbs down during standing ovations. Let the media try to edit that out.

"Under Senate rules, three separate votes are required before negotiators for the two houses may hold a formal meeting. While the three normally are agreed to within seconds, each may be filibustered, and Democrats would then have to produce 60 votes to cut off debate."

Good

One more legal reason to refuse to obey the law once it is passed. It is patently non demmomcratic and therefore unconstitutional. Makes a good argument in court.

Its not a law, its a fiat.

It may even be a bill of attainder, we will have to see what the punishment is in it. ( The Constitution of the United States, Article I, Section 9, paragraph 3 provides that: "No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law will be passed." "The Bill of Attainder Clause was intended not as a narrow, technical (and therefore soon to be outmoded) prohibition, but rather as an implementation of the separation of powers, a general safeguard against legislative exercise of the judicial function or more simply - trial by legislature." U.S. v. Brown, 381 U.S. 437, 440 (1965).)

This pocess will not be acceptable to Americans. And the GOP RINOS have to realize that they also are at risk electorally.

Its all good. Let Obama drive the agenda. He thinks he can get his numbers up by passing health care so he can have something to preen about in his inaugural address? Won’t he be surprised when his numbers plumment further than he ever possily could imagine.

The president and the Dems have nothing but contempt for the American people.Thats going to hurt the Dems big time, and underscore the left’s move toward outright fascism.

John Fund says they are going to make everyone including illegals register to vote so they can steal the 2010 election and call in the UN protectors to shoot us because they will fire on us.

How long are we going to sit around moaning and watching this happen?

When Republicans gain control of either house again, they should immediately exclude the Democrats from any participation.

They need the same ruthless treatment they love to dish out.

The RATS are giving lawyers another reason to take this
debacle to the U.S. Supreme Court. I do not know if the RNC is getting their ducks in a row and lining up their legal team. If not, they are losing the chance of lifetime.
