As can be seen from Obama’s own mouth, at about 5:55 into the above video, he clearly says that his name is Steve.
Based on this admission, the citizen-researcher requested from Janice Okubo, Communications Director for the Hawaii Department of Health, the index data for all the Steve Dunhams in their registry for an individual born August 4, 1961. The request was made on Oct. 29, 2009. The answer came on November 10.

This is a VERY early developing story so far as I know, but I haven't heard anyone discredit that yet.
Also a joke...says his name is Barack Steve Obama.
How so? I’m simply asking because I don’t know one way or another. I haven’t proven, yet, that the UIPA request never took place, or that the state of HI never confirmed a Steve Dunham as being born on 8/4/1961 (in the index).
It sounds like the author of this article is saying that Hawaii affirmed that they have a record of a “Steven Dunham” born on the same day as Obama. If this is true what are the odds?
So Obama was pretty brazen at the comedy dinner if this is true.
Indeed! And that, is the really story here that should be followed up on. Not from where someone got the idea to initiate a UIPA request on the name Steve Dunham. I’m sure folks have submitted such requests for hundreds of names/variations for Barry.
Info ping to an interesting development. :-)
If the tape doesn’t say that, looks like another dead end on the COLB front.
Agreed. That’s the part of the article folks should be focusing on, and not the mistakenly placed youtube vid that the editor has since removed.
I remember watching it that night and him saying his name was Steve. It stuck with me as someone posted a list of alternate names/soc. security numbers and Steve or Steven Obama was listed as one of them. I thought it curious and wondered if in jest, he was really telling the truth.
Yes, that video Obama say he is Steve.
Save it to your hard drive....
Not at all. At least until this follow part (what the article is about) is discredited. See the numerous updates and follow-up questions regarding the actual, alleged UIPA request that returned a “positive” hit for a “Steve Dunham” born on 8/4/1961.
Found the video where he says his middle name is “Steve”...it is in Part 2 of the dinner video at about 1:36
He is comfortable with brazen acts. Remember using his middle finger to scratch his face when talking about Hillary?
The guy is a jerk, and he’s full of himself. I find it entirely possible that the “Steve” joke was an intentional poke in the eye at the gullible public that would soon vote for him.
Me, too .... it stuck with me and
I knew there was a ring of truth
“The guy is a jerk, and hes full of himself. I find it entirely possible that the Steve joke was an intentional poke in the eye at the gullible public that would soon vote for him.”
I couldn’t agree with you more. It sounds exactly like something he would do.
How do you save a video to your computer ? Help ...
Any explanations for simple minds apprecitated.
Since the article states:
“In her official response received by email last night, Okubo denied that there is any index data for a vital record of a birth on August 4, 1961 for a Steve Dunham.
How is this a good thing? She says there is no vital record, or no index data? So there is no record? Please elucidate!
Regarding 0bama saying his middle name is “Steve”, I think it’s interesting, as liars often reveal just a little truth to feel superior to the idiots who don’t know the truth, or by accident, slip of the tongue/mind, etc.
I use Mozilla Firefox web browser that has the Add-on called “Download Helper”

The extension site for Download Helper:
“What about that the UIPA request, and the name “Steve Dunham” that was allegedly confirmed by HI as having been born on 8/4/1961?”
“In her official response received by email last night, Okubo denied that there is any index data for a vital record of a birth on August 4, 1961 for a Steve Dunham. It took her 90 days to figure out how to respond. And that in itself lets you, the reader, know what she meant to say: his name is Steve Dunham!”
This person says he did not get confirmation on a “Steve Dunham” vital record with the birth date of 8/4/61. Then the author goes on to say this official denial proves she was right - his name is “Steve Dunham.” I don’t understand why this is being discussed.
