MA-Sen. 2010: (Scott) Brown defends Romneycare (ROMNEYBOT ALERT)
Fox News via Politico ^ | 2010-01-13

Oliver Willis notices Scott Brown defending the Massachusetts health care plan -- which he supported -- and trying to make the case that it's really quite different from the federal plan with which it shares key features.

"They're two different programs. What we have here is a free-market enterprise where we're providing insurance in various levels to people in Massachusetts. The plans in Washington are a one-size-fits-all plan," he said.

If conservatives don't stand for something real and substantive--and that's a form of "purity," IMO

It's probably a waste of time explaining the obvious to a Paultard, but I'll give it a try anyway.

This isn't Romney or Rudy crawling out from liberalland to try and win the national GOP nomination.

This is about a pubbie trying to win a statewide race in about the deepest blue of states - and a shot at ending the liberal 'purity' the Dems currently have in the Senate - and having a real shot at gelding the Obama/Dem agenda.

Only a dipweed who is more interested in pushing a third-party moron like Ron Paul would have issue with a pubbie having a shot to actually win Ted Kennedy's seat - ponder that for a moment - the utter and abject gutshot such a win would have on the liberal agenda.

Oh, no, that would require actual THOUGHT instead of knee-jerk spamming like you are known for.

Folks all over have been warning of the "slippery slope." There has got to be a point where one just has to put his (or her!) foot down; for me that point was last year.

The reality is that there are only two people with a chance of winning this special election. One of them will be Obama's "yes girl" puppet, the other has pledged to vote against Obamacare and will give the GOP enough votes to halt the Democrats.

Which one do you want to win?

AMEN BROTHER!

I grew up in the land of the Kennedys, and am now living in the Bay Air-head area. Better weather, same crappy politics.

We, too, had a chance to put a Republican in office in a recent special election, but the "purists" threw him under the bus, and we ended up with a career politician who was even MORE of a moon-bat than the Congress-critter he replaced.

you would think even a fool could make that choice.

You underestimate certain fools on FR.

Where would you ever find a true conservative in a place like Mass.? I guess for now he is the best we can do...

Here is the choice. Thug supported Coakley supports the Obama plan 100 percent. Grassroots supported Brown does not support the Obama plan. It shouldn't be hard to make a decision.

That is discouraging. But...as long as there is a chance...there is a chance!

LOL...”Bay Air-head area...”

Personally, if I were a Mass. voter, I'd ignore the line for Senator and move on to the other ballot items.

This is a special election to fill the seat of the Swimmer. There are no other ballot lines. You need to keep up on current events.

Don't expect Rabs to make sense.

Anyone who takes issue with the possibility of a pubbie winning Ted Kennedy's old seat needs either their head or their motives examined.

In the case of Rabs, given his Paultard tendencies, I'd say it's the latter.

Hey ratscuttle,

It's obvious that you are 127.7% pure conservative and will even find fault with Reagan and Goldwater, but some time you need to STFU.

This election is in taxachewits, and while Scott Brown isn't Ronaldus Maximus, he's no mcpain.

Give your purity a rest for a few days unless you have a candidate {that's on the ballot for Tuesday's election} that's better than Brown.

I’m glad I’m not in MA. I do not support Scott Brown. He’s a RINO. However, he’s as conservative as MA can get I believe. So I’m choosing to keep out of this. I hope Scott wins, but I don’t. It’s like that.

If you were choosing to "keep out of this" why didn't you?

Then your next sentence is a beaut, "I hope Scott wins, but I don't". Talk about conflicted.

For the next 4 days, all of the conservative purists that insist that Brown is a RINO, go over to du so those of us that are donating and praying for Scott Brown won't get distracted with your drivel.

and while Scott Brown isn't Ronaldus Maximus, he's no mcpain.

And he's the guy who can take away the Dem supermajority in the Senate. But some third-party Paultard types would rather the GOP not win in hopes of promoting their own party, no matter the cost to the entire country. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

Pretty much...MA is a cesspool at its very best. I lived in NH and observed a large x-section from MA come and go. Wished they had just stayed home! What a worthless bunch. There were a few exception but only a tiny number. Most have no idea what freedom is and I really don’t think they want it. It’s so much easier to be dependent.

Yeah, don’t dwell on what he says about it, just do your usual Stupid Dance and scream, “RINO!!!”. That always works.

WTF is the point of posting this article? To dampen enthusiasm for Brown so coakley can win? What kind of assclown wants to do that at this late stage?
