Breaking: Adam Andrzejewski Surges to Within 2 Points in Latest Polling
Gateway Pundit ^ | 01/31/10 | Jim Hoft

Illinois Gubernatorial Candidate Adam Andrzejewski rallied supporters in O’Fallon, Illinois this afternoon. It was a standing room only crowd.

While campaigning in O’Fallon the Andrzejewski team announced that Adam had just received the endorsement of the largest Chicago Polish paper today. And…. It was announced that Adam had surged to within two points in an internal poll conducted by a conservative organization in Washington DC. Andrzejewski was 8 points down earlier in the week in the Illinois race.

It may have been the endorsement by Lech Walesa that helped Andrzejewski surge in the latest polling. And this is despite the fact that the mainstream Chicago news mostly ignored Walesa’s historic endorsement.

Was going to sit this election out but now I’m in.

Figured IL was a lost cause. I’m surrounded by idiots. Thankfully most are laid off now and I don’t have to hear it.

“My family will be voting Adam A and Hughes as well - any thoughts on Lt. Gov.?”

I’m with you on both counts. I’m also up in the air about the Lt. Gov. From my bit of research I was thinking Randy White. But I don’t know what kind of traction he has.

We just went to a kick-off campaign for a friend who is running to unseat Bill Delahunt in MA. His name is Ray Kasperowicz or as he says “that’s Scott Brown in Polish”.

I think you’re misread Adam A’s hair situation:
look closer, there’s not enough of it to fuss over and primp, like your unspoken comparison with Long John Edwards.
Adam’s hair is quite thin, and there’s not much to muss up.
He’s probably pissed that he only has enough to make it over
his forehead, even if it falls out as bangs.

Interesting.

I use to live in O’Fallon in the early to mid 70s. Father was stationed at Scott AFB.

I loved it as a kid. Still have fond memories of it and tend to go back to visit 1 of these days.

When you run for governor in Illinois, is it required that you have a name nobody can spell or pronounce?

It might help, but not as much as an aptitude for making license plates.

Internal polling. Not published. Gotta take that with a grain or 3 of salt but it’s seems like he has been rising in the polls.

As a Professional Vocal Coach I am inclined to concur.

Except that Howard's Vocal PLACEMENT in the frontal lobe is situated far too close to the sinus area for my personal taste. It gives his glissando and tessuratura a profoundly nasal and shreiking effect that could cause cerebral infarct in a water buffalo.

Billyboy told me his thoughts and analysis of the LT Guv race.

I’ll sum up my thoughts.

There are 6 candidates

State Sen Matt Murphy is a good conservative but he’s McKenna’s “running mate” and was an early Kirk backer. That’s reason enough to vote for him in the primary as far as I’m concerned.

Carbondale Mayor Brad Cole is RINO scum. Former George Ryan Deputy COS. Won’t rule out supporting tax hikes (not that the LT Guv has power over this). My last choice.

Dennis Cook is an also ran and friendly towards RINOs. No reason to consider him.

Don Tracy seems conservative but he was a demorat just a few years ago. I don’t trust him. No need to take a chance on him.

Conservatives have 2 clear choices in my opinion:

Jason Plummer is a young conservative (27, a year older than me) who is spending a lot of money on the race. He talks a lot about stuff the office has nothing to do with. I’m sure he knows the office actually has no power but he’s choosing to talk about these prominent issues anyway.

Randy White is a solid conservative and is very qualified. He is most detailed about his qualifications for fulfilling the scant duties of the office. He’s a “religious right” kind of guy. Personally that turns me off and while voters in the GE will likely not focus much on the LT Guv running mates I don’t think it would help. White probably won’t win the nomination. It’s hard to argue he’s not the most qualified though.

Billyboy thinks Plummer will take this race easily.

I’m think that Murphy can win or much much worse RINO Brad Cole (most prominent downstater, Sun Times backed, several endorsements, 1 of them Joe Birkett) can win. It’s between those 2 and Plummer in my estimation.

I’ll be voting for Plummer.

Those are the websites for the 2 good candidates.

Pardon me, reason enough NOT to vote for Murphy
