Obama's prayer: 'Don't question my citizenship'
World Net Daily ^ | 2-4-10

President Obama today at the National Prayer Breakfast raised the issue of his own eligibility for office – saying that people shouldn't be questioning his "citizenship."

Talking about the issue of "civility," he said, "Now, I am the first to confess I am not always right. Michelle will testify to that. But surely you can question my policies without questioning my faith, or, for that matter, my citizenship."

Obama continues, "Challenging each other's ideas can renew our democracy. But when we challenge each other's motives, it becomes harder to see what we hold in common. We forget that we share at some deep level the same dreams – even when we don't share the same plans on how to fulfill them."

The questions, however, over Obama's "citizenship," actually go to the core of the American republic. Multiple lawsuits have challenged that he is not qualified for the Oval Office under the Constitution's requirement that U.S. presidents be a "natural born citizen."

The plaintiffs – who run into the hundreds so far and who still have a number of cases pending at the appelllate level – have alleged that failing to meet that constitutional requirement means he actually is a usurper, with no actual authority to be president.

On a forum page at The Hill newspaper, one commenter wrote that the president has only himself to blame for the questions.

Obama won't even say which of the two hospitals that “the first black president” was born at.

Why do we have to “make politics against Obama?”

Are you lost? Are you sure you're in the right place?

Do people realize how much money Joseph Farah and WND is making from keeping this whole so-called “birther” issue alive?

my point is we don’t have to ‘make” anything up. The info is already there. I’m not disagreeing with Obama’s lack of American birth status at all. I just don’t think we have to “make” up any damaging information. There’s plenty out there.

Who knew that was a requirement to be President? Did they slip that in somewhere else in the Constitution?

I don't like the guy any more than you do, but you aren't going to win on this issue. The only strategy that could work is to change the law in at least one State to require submitting qualification documents, including birth certificates, in order to be placed on the ballot. The current law of the party certifying it's own candidates is crazy.

If he is indeed not a US Citizen, a very long shot IMO, then his 2012 run is dead.

By the way, while the title is a little misleading, it is probably the original title from the source, so it should not be changed.

But Barry did say the line, as a red-meat laugh line, but I doubt it is his “prayer”. It just took place at the Prayer Breakfast.

Obama won't even say which of the two hospitals that “the first black president” was born at.

Here, in the last paragraph, Obama describes his birth at Queens Hospital as an all-American story:

Here, Obama, in writing, refers to Kapi'olani Hospital as, "the place of my birth."

So there youy have it from Obama himself -- he was born at two different hospitals.

No, tell us. Exactly how much money is WND making?

Here's one. Lower left corner, a few up from the bottom. I don't know about the other.

Of course the info in a newspaper notice does not constitute of legal document. I don't think you would get far with that if you wanted to get a passport or driver's license.

“Could you imagine what the MSM would be like if there were any question at all about the bc of Sarah Palin?
And I bet the same people against Birthers as hurting the GOP, would find every reason under the sun to be against Palin about it.”

The MSM and the DEMS would have been all over the story if it was Palin’s b.c. that was being questioned. They’d demand answer, they’d have all their reporters searching every nook and cranny of the world to find the answer.

For the life of me, I do not understand anyone who doesn’t seem to think this issue is worthy of our attention.

And since when do newspaper announcements of any kind trump legal documents?

What we do know is that there no one at his university who remembers him. We do know there is some valid concern over his birth certificate. We do know he promised transparency but has not given it. We do know he was only a community organizer, whatever the hell that is. We do know he has no experience. There are a lot of things we do know, there are a lot of questions.

Thanks for helping me learn.

How do you know that the ad in Honolulu Advertiser wasn’t planted in 1961 because of the possibility that Obama would be running for president in 2008?

He was born in Kenya and they placed the notice in 1961 to cover their tracks. Diabolical but possible! None dare call it conspiracy.

"Do people realize how much money Joseph Farah and WND is making from keeping this whole so-called “birther” issue alive?"

I don't understand. WHY don't you think it's important to know if obama is a natural-born citizen or not??? It's one of the requirements in the Constitution - if he doesn't fit that requirement, then how can he be President???

They did. Not with Sarah, but with HER baby.
