Sheriff Arpaio Blasts McCain's "Liberal" Policies
Hotline On Call ^ | 2/9/2010 | Reid Wilson

Posted on 02/09/2010 5:43:06 PM PST by Outside da Box

Maricopa Co. Sheriff Joe Arpaio is urging GOPers to shelve Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) in favor of ex-Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R), a challenger attacking from the right, in a new letter sent to primary voters.

"Senator McCain has served this country admirably but it's time to replace his moderate or even liberal positions on taxes, the border, social causes and big bank bailouts with a consistent conservative like J.D.," Arpaio writes in the letter. ""I just wish Senator McCain had run as hard against Barack Obama as he is against a conservative like J.D. That could have prevented the harmful, liberal agenda we are all now suffering through."

Unlike McCain, who is wealthy on his own, JD Hayworth gave up his livelihood to challenge McCain, so it’s important for all of us who can’t vote in AZ to at least donate to JD’s campaign.

John McCain had a chance at the Presidency, but he didn't follow Sarah's lead to shred Obama when he had the chance.

In spite of his poorly run campaign, John McCain was leading in the race for president (thanks mostly to Sarah Palin joining his ticket) until the stock market crashed in October. Obama had peaked early and was in a steady decline. The crash was a gift to Obama.....most likely created by George Soros.

“Sheriff Joe needs to be head of Homeland Security in the Hunter administration”

Make him AG and disband DHS.

I agree with the first statement, but not so much on the latter. McCain would have been very busy reaching across the aisle. IMHO, as much, if not more, socialist crapola would have been passed whilst the media was distracted by the carnival-like antics of his VP.

Arpaio adds: "And he knows that after years of running over Republican principles his entire career no election year conversion to our way of thinking will save his campaign from voters that want conservatives to be a part of the solution rather than part of the problem."

Go, JD! Go Sheriff Arpaio!

Anyway, solve that puzzle and you’ll win today’s Freeper prize.

As usual, I have several thoughts on the matter, but I have vowed not to waste time posting about you-know-who.

This is, of course, a "McCain has got to go" thread. So, I am not breaking my New Year's resolution. So far I've done rather well.

Words that I have uttered many times lately. You go Joe!

I wish he was only about 30 instead of old(like me), we need many more like him if we are to save this country from slavery, better known as communism.

You really meant the Palin/Hunter administration didn’t you?:)(just kidding but I do favor Palin over Hunter even though he is a good conservative).

Thanks for posting that. Although I knew all of the content it is nice to see someone put it all together like this. The Sarah bashers on FR are either A: idots B: People who don’t understand her and refuse to look at her real record or C: RINObots who want some liberal Republican elected to office. Another option always looms and that is D: People who don’t want a woman as President. Most times the people in D are women, sad to say.

I like Palin, but I am puzzled why she decided not to finish her term as governor of Alaska.

Then you are simply to stupid to Vote. If you have missed all the postings and the original explanation by Sarah, plus the one her lawyer made about why she resigned, or you simply can't understand plain English, then you truly are too stupid to be allowed to vote. Your voting privileges should be suspended immediately, if not sooner.

Worth repeating
"I just wish Senator McCain had run as hard against Barack Obama as he is against a conservative like J.D.
That could have prevented the harmful, liberal agenda we are all now suffering through."

HUNTER IS THE ONLY MAN RUNNING WHO HAD THE QUALIFICATIONS AND DEMEANOR TO BE POTUS. THE OFFICE DESERVES AN HONORABLE MAN, AND DUNCAN L.HUNTER FILLED THAT BILL IN SPADES. I PREFER HUNTER/PALIN MYSELF. BUT IF HE REFUSES TO BE IGNORED AGAIN, PALIN IS MY CANDIDATE. SADLY, I BELIEVE THE PROGRESSIVE RNC WILL NOT SUPPORT EITHER. (NOT KIDING.) :)

I am with the Sheriff on this one. But I believe that the good people of Arizona will send Mc Cain back to the Senate. I hope that Sarah does not campaign for him [Mc Cain],but, if she does....
