The 15-year-old victim of a beating that took place at the Westlake transit tunnel last month said she pleaded with Seattle police officers to help her get away from a group of people who eventually attacked and robbed her, court documents said.
As surveillance video from the incident revealed that transit security officers stood by while the girl was beaten, more details about what led up to the attack were found in court papers by KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Jeff Dubois Thursday morning.
In the court documents, the victim said Seattle police officers did not help her when she pleaded with them to help her get away from her group of attackers prior to the beating, but police did not help her.

That same group of people, including a 15-year-old girl seen attacking the victim on surveillance video, later followed the girl into the tunnel where the attack took place, police said.
The mother of the 15-year-old girl accused of robbery and assault in the case defended her daughter, saying the two teens have a history of aggressiveness toward each other, and that her daughter is a good girl who made a bad decision.

The police have no duty to defend a particular individual.
Doubt it? There are tons of court cases establishing this. Chief among them is DeShaney v. Winnebago County Department of Social Services. Another is Castle Rock v. Gonzales, in 2005, in which the majority of the Supreme Court agreed with the DeShaney case.
YOU are the only person with the right and duty to defend yourself and your family, not the police. If our society wasn't so haplophobic, and if the Democrat Party hadn't destroyed the black family, maybe this girl would be OK.
Well, they might try putting under cover cops in a gang, naw hat would never work.
They could have escorted her out of the store to a safer place, or even took her into protective custody. D@mn lawyers are killing our country.
1) Suffering from racism
2) PTSD from slavery
3) Dumped by boyfriend
4) Whites looked at her the wrong way
5) Victim looked at her the wrong way
6) Didn’t get paycheck as expected
7) Fired from job
8) Didn’t get desired job
9) Couldn’t afford items in store
10) Failed to successfully shoplift in store
11) Victimized by racial profiling by victim
12) Looked at wrong way by security guards/salespeople/victim
“Protect and Serve?”
Should prosecute the little thug for attempted murder.
Stomping on a head IS attempting to murder that person.
Period.

If we prosecuted such thugs like that, less thugs on the street and more safety for all.
Were they in fact Seattle Police, or did she mistake other rent-a-cops for real police? We know that the three who stood by were security, but what about the others?
That was back when there were unwritten rules. Now if you don't disable your attacker he is as likely as not going to come back at you. I'm too old and heal too slowly to be getting my @$$ kicked, so I'm just going to have to kill him.

Wouldn’t have stopped this if the gang informant was on the other side of town.

And where would that have been? Home? Give her a 24 hour guard?
But they MAY take a complaint after the fact, then MIGHT investigate, PERHAPS arresting an ALLEGED suspect.
An exception to that rule is if a citizen gets between them and their donuts, in which case clubs, jackboots, and charges will be flying immediately.
I really, REALLY hate to have to agree with you.
OTOH, these security guards are employees of a private contractor, hired by a public agency, stationed at a transit stop, giving them the appearance and public expectation of actually providing security to patrons of the transit system.
That is a far cry from the typical "night watchman" security guard, that is mainly charged with watching over--not protecting--property.
Placing them in those uniforms; presenting them as public rather than private employees; and stationing them as they do, is inviting the public to expect aid. What purpose do they serve that the already present surveilance camera doesn't?

Her face is not on camera, but you can hear her voice. She blames the Seattle police for not preventing her daughter from doing the beating after the police did nothing when the victim asked for help in the mall. Obviously her daughter told her the entire story in the time between when the attack took place and when the hearing occurred. Blaming the police for her daughter’s actions is BS, but at least she said she can’t feel sorry that her daughter is going to have to deal with the consequences of her actions.
Sad to say you’re probably right; I’ve been doing various types of security work in Cali for the better part of 13 years and too often I find myself working with either cowards like the 2 in Seattle, or thugs like those clowns in Oakland. And I feel lucky if they speak English.
When I started in the industry in the early 90’s it was usually either a steeping stone to law enforcement or a part time gig for college students/retired LEOs etc...now it’s becoming a joke.
You can't blame the workers...I'm sure they were not allowed to help according to some union rules...don't want to risk dues paying union members after all. /s
I hope to hear witnesses who were not involved, so don’t have a dog in this hunt, so to speak. I suspect the story so far is pretty accurate, but whenever I jump in and believe them, they seem to end up being wrong!
Seattle paper reporting today the victim had been harrassed for dressing and acting white. Hate crime?
I understand that. Plus you always have to factor in the reporters and news anchors twisting the facts and omitting key information to support their own agendas.

LOL I’m only ADMITTING to a little! Heck I was one of those fools who didn’t want to believe that Lacy Patterson was killed by her husband.
