Debra Medina implodes on Glenn Beck's show
Kansas City Star ^ | 2/11/10 | By Yael T. Abouhalkah, Kansas City Star Editorial Page columnist

Posted on 02/11/2010 2:54:28 PM PST by DallasBiff

Medina is facing off in a GOP primary with Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Medina's absurd comments to Beck about U.S. government involvement in 9/11 included this gem:

"I don’t have all of the evidence there, Glenn, so I’m not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard, there are some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there, so I have not taken a position on that."

Perry and Hutchinson immediately ripped Medina for such ignorant comments

Well, I certainly don’t see the numbers of die hard medina fans today that were on here yesterday telling us how great she is. I also don’t see all the smack and personal attacks they were spouting at anyone who disagreed, no matter if we tried to keep the discussion out of the gutter.

Medina stuck a spork in her self. Really stupid answer to a really simple question. Send her to the cull pile.

It’s good to know so many on the right love their politicians so much.

These fine folks can spit in your face with TARP, tax the hell out of you, strap your children down with debt, destroy your constitution and yet you can vilify someone who dares contemplate their propensity for doing you harm?

Seriously, folks, I’ve been a FReeper for a long time, but this one is boggling my mind.

We need hard-nosed right-wingers now, not marshmallow RINO’s.

Perry, and his ilk, will most certainly disappoint.

She can have any views she wants to about those things, but if she in anyway thinks that there are “unanswered questions” about the government’s role in 9/11, she’s a kook, period, and we ought to run away from her. It’s a yes or no answer. I read the transcript.

You can continue to fellate the rinos til the cows come home, nancy.

It sucks about your girl Medina outing herself as a truther.

That must hurt. A lot. Badly.

Better luck next time, yo.

“We need hard-nosed right-wingers now, not marshmallow RINO’s.”

Oh, I see, you want to hire a woman who believes are own gov’t was involved in bringing down the twin towers and killing 3,000 of our own citizens. Sure, that’s a good idea you’ve got there.

“what do you think about her position on eliminating property tax and replacing it with a “revenue neutral” sales tax.”

I thought it was crazy at first. I went to her website and downloaded the 40 page .pdf that explains it in a good deal of detail. It actually has some merit. The main change of the sales tax idea is that it covers almost everything. Even real property sales, so - you end up paying your property tax (sort of) either 1 time during the sale - or spread out over your mortgage payment.

When you do the math, its pretty easy to see a “revenue” neutral outcome, and it takes out the arbitrary “assessment” factor. For what its worth, ranches are generally “ag exempt” and this broad based tax would not exempt them as the current format does.

Also, for what its worth - “She” obviously didn’t come up with the plan. It was done by some think tank and pretty thorough. I’ll bet the guys that did the plan lit themselves on fire this morning after hearing her on Beck.

I don’t have all of the evidence there, Glenn

LOL...Maybe now Perry can avoid a runoff...

We don’t need any nut-job truthers. Besides that, she has almost no experience to be governor of one of the largest states in America. Its not like a Senator, where a lightweight who votes the right way is fine. A governor actually has to run a state.

It doesn’t hurt one bit, nancy. Until 2012, when RINO perry convinces idiots like you he deserves to be President.

Thanks for that info. So she was ratted out by somebody. What in her past would lead someone to believe she was a truther?

Well all the info was out there for anyone who cared to know about who they are going to vote for. Right on this forum many people tried to warn against voting for someone just because they say they are a tea party candidate. There are other questions she should be asked such as is she in the antiwar group too?

Yeah, and Sarah Palin has endorsed Rand Paul who’s a weirdo just like his father,

So far, Steve Forbes and Dick Armey have also endorsed him. I think that he is different from his father, for one thing, it looks like he will become a Senator which is a state wide office and not just a Congressional seat that can elect radicals.

I agree... my very problem with the "government did the 9-11 implosion of the towers is this" ANYBODY that has ever done anything this extensive couldn't keep a secret... it's the government...puhleeze...

the same guys that couldn't even keep Iran-Contra (a beautiful op if you think about it) secret are going to be able to keep the destruction of 3000 people and the world trade center secret...

It's idiotic. I think the Brits said it best with this..." 3 people can keep a secret, if 2 of them are dead"...

somebody, somewhere would have spilled his guts, just out of a guilty conscience. Now I believe the government would cover up the fact that they screwed up and didn't detect the threat, might have been dupe into allowing the perps to skate existing PC laws etc... but to engineer and actually pull off 9-11... my gawd, they can't even figure out the taxes of the Treasury Secretary or the leading congressman on the tax committee.

Is there some kind of scale of Birtherism or Trutherism or anything - or is it just all or none?

Most people can safely say that a remote controlled holographic image did not fly into the towers - but are we allowed to wonder about events at all?

Same with Birthers - some are off the deep end - others have questions that seem reasonable.

I think that a lot of people have questions or opinions about subjects - that they sometimes supress so as not to be labeled a whacko by someone else.

I think the people who speak out about their questions are kinda brave actually. They may be misguided or wrong - but I think it’s better to speak your thoughts rather than betray them.
