Sarah Palin Isn't Cooperating
American Thinker ^ | February 13, 2010 | Phil Boehmke

Posted on 02/13/2010 12:38:27 PM PST by rhema

e One of the things that the Obama administration and the Main Stream Media really hate about Sarah Palin is her unwillingness to cooperate. Even when she gets caught on camera during a speech with "Energy", "Tax" and most damning of all "Lift American Spirits" written in her own hand on her own hand, she refuses to cooperate.

After the palm-gate story broke, Obama's inner circle more than likely consulted their most holy of holy texts to devise a cunning strategy in their ongoing war against Sarah. There on pages 137-8 of the sacred "Rules For Radicals" by Saul Alinsky was the answer that Team Obama was looking for.

It should be remembered that you can threaten the enemy and get away with it. You can insult and annoy him, but the one thing that is unforgivable and that is certain to get him to react is to laugh at him. This causes an irrational anger.

Bingo! We have a winner! Robert Gibbs, the comic genius of the future former president's staff would get to deliver the blow. The UK Guardian reports.

The White House press secretary, Robert Gibbs, said he also had something written down on his hand. Breaking off from a question on healthcare reform, he said he planned to make pancakes for his son if the snow in Washington continued. "I wrote ‘eggs', ‘milk', ‘bread', but I crossed out ‘bread'. Then I wrote down ‘hope' and ‘change', in case I forgot."

The increasingly irrelevant MSM was delighted by Mr. Gibbs cutting edge (not to mention topical) humor. All that remained for Team Obama to do was just to wait for Sarah to react with "irrational anger" in fulfillment of Saul Alinsky's prophecy.

O.K., lights, camera, action! Again the UK Guardian provides the play by play.

Full credit to Palin for making fun of the whole thing. In her next public appearance-backing Texas governor Rick Perry in the Republican primary against Senator Kay Bailey-Hutchinson-Palin showed up with the words "Hi Mom!" clearly written on her palm. At least she's got a sense of humor.

Obviously Sarah had failed to cooperate with the Alinsky plan. No "irrational anger" was forthcoming, she countered the strategic mocking of Obama's crew and the MSM with genuine good humor. What do you do with someone who can laugh at themselves?

Gravitas is the very essence of condescending elitist snobbery

and it can never lay a glove on levity.

The left has no sense of humor. How can they when they are nihilistic self-loathing opportunists?

That’s fine. You can say it as often as you like. Doesn’t mean you are right.

The teleprompter is a story for one reason only. One of Obama’s main quailifications that people used to decide him fit for office was how eloquent he was presented to be. Not like that dimwit Bush who couldn’t prounounce words smoothly or even correctly. Their narrative not mine. If people are going to make speech a main factor in whether they vote for someone or think they are intelligent, then we’re going to showcase how less then perfect he is without his crutch. And if making that crutch a focal point causes him to doubt himself and stumble even with the teleprompter, so much the better.

I remember a story about Reagan back then. Supposedly, he was taking a journalist on a tour of the White House. They came to a hallway in which Reagan had hung on the wall many political cartoons which lambasted him.

The journalist asked him why he did that. And his answer was (paraphrased) "Well, that's just in case I get too impressed with myself."

What do you do with someone who can laugh at themselves?

Being pathologically narcissistic by nature, liberals will always fail to grasp that one who is truly humble wears a coat of armor that cannot be pierced.

This was the secret, btw, to President Reagan's "teflon." They never laid a glove on him either.

Why Mitt and the Huckster had as many votes as they did is beyond me

Failure of imagination.

Leadership. It can't be taught. You either have it or you don't. She has it. And that is why she could be president.

It is disturbing to think that the White House has people that would actually go this far.

They have an unprofessional, juvenile air about them.

What do you do with someone who can laugh at themselves?

You work twice as hard to destroy them. This was one reason they couldn't ever land a blow on President Reagan. They HATE Sarah the way they HATED Ronaldus Magnus. (Remember "amiable dunce"?)

But then, these are liberals. They always need targets on which to vent their hate.

OMG -- that's just what my husband says to me when he gets irritated!

On the long list of issues voters will be considering in the 2012 presidential election, do you really think use or non-use of teleprompters is going to appear?

I’ll never forget when Reagan debated Mondale and Mondale tried to use Reagan’s age against him. He came back with the greatest line that he wouldn’t hold Mondale’s youth and inexperience against him. That was just totally awesome~However, I do hold zero’s inexperience against him.

What I find interesting is that it's the Alinsky-ites who respond with irrational anger when they are made fun of.

So, Alinksy was right. Heh, heh.

Carry on. You know what to do.

How does Alinsky address the indifferent enemy?
