Where did I tell you to shut up? Point it out if you'd please. Where did I make GW Bush or George Bush into George Washington? Please point that out. And feel free to point out any evidence that Jim Tressel ISN'T a good football coach or that Woody Hayes was not a great football coach in his own right in the 60s and early 70s. I'm so sure you'll respond with more hate directed towards me for no reason.

Sorry Mike, I confused you with another poster here...but, if you'll review the postings, you'll discover that I've been termed an *$$-hole by "Deb" with many agreeing with her, plus being told to "shut up" about expressing my misgivings on George W. Bush. Now, you guys may love and worship #43 but I don't, so let's just leave it that.

As far as Woody Hayes's coaching, well I'll let the incident in the 1978 Gator Bowl determine that; and Tressel's ability is confirmed each season (i.e. Navy and Purdue in '09).

So, Mike didn't say those things, and I didn't say those things, and you posted to both of us to tell us you hate us.

Yeah......that makes sense.

btw, setting the record straight, once again. I do not 'worship' President Bush, nor does anyone else here that I know of. That's a pretty tired old hyperbole, why don't you put it away and tell the truth for a change?

So NOW, we can "leave it at that." :)

Oh........not without agreeing with Mike that Jim Tressel is an AWESOME coach.

F16Fighter's freepmail wouldn't be of interest to any sane person, freedumb2003, especially now that he's been zapped. It was pretty pathetic.

I have had NO contact with this loser triple/quadruple retread (whatever) for at least 3 years, and he is still burning up with rage at me (and I barely remember him - he's very forgettable).

He was just ranting like a mad dog. Anyway, he's gone, and he probably thinks I had something to do with it in his paranoia, but the Mods certainly didn't need me to figure out what a loser and liar he was.

It was so obvious it was funny. (In a twisted sort of way. ;)

Aw come on, W, you know you agreed with everything hurled my way when it comes to defending your hero

LOL...you name yourself "W-fan" and write on your FR homepage that Bush was "appointed by God." That sounds pretty much like worship to me.

So NOW, we can "leave it at that." :) Oh........not without agreeing with Mike that Jim Tressel is an AWESOME coach.

Right, he typically gets the top recruiting class in the nation but folds up like a cheap cardboard box anytime he matches up against the SEC. His only national championship was a triple overtime against Miami and even that is a disputed one as an obvious pass interference foul wasn't called on the Buckeyes when Miami was going in for the winning score. You want to root for a Big 10 coach who can really coach try Kirk Ferentz of the University of Iowa. He gets nothing in the way of recruiting but always seems to come up a big winner strickly by coaching winning football!

Appointed by God means that I worship God, and believe in His Sovereignty. George W. Bush WAS appointed by God, according to Scripture.

As I have said before, if you disagree with that you need to take it up with the Lord, not me.

You may feel free to disagree with my admiration, respect and loyalty to President Bush, his leadership, his character, his honor and his courage, but if you disagree with God's appointment of all nations' leaders, then it's an entirely different matter.

btw, you call yourself a "mean dog." Can we take that literally and use it against you for the remainder of your days on FR?

The only thing wrong with my freeper name is that people like you use it as a weapon. I meant it when I chose it, and I mean it now.

President Bush is a GOOD man, and none of your childish name-calling and hatred aimed at him can change that, nor my admiration for him as a man of integrity and courage.

I gather from your constant hostility that you are a very unhappy person

Are you kidding? Allegra is one of the happiest, goofiest people you would ever meet. Your 'radar' of hostility must be affected by your own inner dialogue. Could what you see in others be more of a Rorschach Test for yourself?

Yep...you and some other FReepers (probably me as well) keep a good-sized room in his brain rent-free. That alone, is victorious. ;-)

Appointed by God means that I worship God, and believe in His Sovereignty. George W. Bush WAS appointed by God, according to Scripture.

Was then also Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Richard Nixon? How about Franklin Pearce, James Buchanan or Millard Fillmore (the worst presidents ever)?

The only thing about "God" having to do with America, in my humble belief, is that he has stretched his divine hand of protection over it. I say this because of the quirky peculiarities of circumstances involving:
1. The deaths of Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, bitter enemies throughout their political lives and at the roots of our two political parties. They died as friends, however, exactly 50 years to the day after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
2. Also, on July 4, 1863, Robert E. Lee's great army retreated from Gettysburg as the town of Vicksburg fell to U.S. Grant and the greatest threat to the United States as one undivided nation was never again felt.
3. James Madison, the Father of the Constitution, died on the same day (June 28th) when the Constitution was finally reconciled through Benjamin Franklin's prodding for a day of prayer.
I could go on with historical points but I think you get the point. What is fact from fiction, however, is that God had nothing whatsoever to do with George Bush and the presidency...in fact, had Al Gore petitioned for a recount of the entire state of Florida instead of Dade County, George Bush would have never had been president. FACT!

In a word, yes.

Some are righteous, some are not, but God, in His Sovereignty chooses them all, and uses their deeds, righteous, or not, for His glory.

As I said earlier, if you question that God appoints leaders, your questions are spiritual and not political, and you need to seek out God's word to get the answers.

They're in there.

I will be happy to provide you with some specific references if you're interested (my guess is that you're not interested in anything I say, other than to try to refute it).

Read God's word. Please. Your denial of His Sovereignty is a bit scary.

Last post on the subject.

I try not to participate on religious discussion threads in general here, and since you have brought up a discussion about theology, I'll leave it to you to do the research, and will say no more.

I will provide Scripture references should you want them, though. Just let me know and I can post them or freepmail them to you.

Betcha you're going to point out Romans 13:1, no? Well, show me where God says it, not St. Paul because if I believed that God had anything to do with "kings" over nations then I would have to also believe that the Almighty put Adolph Schicklegruber and Josef Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili in place too...as well as Caligula, Gingas Khan, Atilla the Hun and all of the evil despots of history.

Well, if you don't believe that the Bible is God's word, we're at an impasse.

There are more Scripture passages than just one, but if you don't believe one, you won't believe any.

See you on another positive thread about Bush (I don't believe I've seen you on any threads denouncing Obama, which is where I spend most of my time. But I do see you on lots of threads about the good guys.....and I find that very interesting).
